Comfortable, durable, light, strong. Good boots.
I destroy boots. They tell tales of me to their little boot children to make them do their little boot children chores.5.11 are so far one of the few that can withstand my punishment. I bought these as a lighter weight counterpart to my heavy insulated Shield pair. They are indeed lighter, substantially so, despite still being a large boot. I wish they also had a hidden pocket. I ordered the Wide 10.5, don't usually wear wide, and it fits very well. I walked around Boston for 5 solid hours in these boots a week out of the box, and didn't have a single blister. Plenty of room to add an aftermarket insole as well. Very comfortable with minimal breaking in required, if any at all.

Great boots but....
I originally had these boots and my next pair were the 2.0 shield boot. The grip on the 2.0 boot is not as good so I purchased the 3.0 for the better grip but I am finding that this particular pair is not as comfortable. Not sure if it was just this pair but I'm not 100% satisfied with them. I only buy these boots for the cost, how lightweight they are and the comfort. I'm on my feet 12hrs a day at work. I def recommend these but be careful of the comfort.

Five stars for comfort, three for materials.
They're very comfortable for a protective boot to the point that I don't mind doing a bit of hiking in them. Running and jumping aren't significantly hindered. Fit seems to be true to size, so consider going a half size up if you want to wear thick socks and tuck your pant legs. Support is excellent, although heavier folks might want a better insole.My problems begin and end with construction and durability. While these are well-made, the synthetic materials just can't compete with leather and rivets. They survived three months of construction with plenty of wear left, but they look the worse for it and aren't quite waterproof anymore. I think they'd stand up rather well to warehousing or urban foot patrols, but there are better choices for working on an outdoor job site. Still, I'm happy for the price, since the better boots I have in mind cost two or three times more.

The boots came apart after 6 months of use. Haven't been able to get a hold of the seller to inquire about a warranty. They were nice before they came apart.I would not recommend these.

Wasit of money
These were the worst boots I’ve ever had. So tight it gave me ingrown toe nails, Super hard, and horrible design flaws. The inside lining is sewn on to the tab to pull them on. So I went to pull them on and the stitching around the top all came off. When I took them off the lining on the inside came off. They lasted about a month then blew out on the side by the sole. I love 5.11 products that’s why I wanted to try them, but they were the biggest waist of money. Do not recommend!!!
