Excellent fit and comfortable
Awesome boot to go walking in the local mountains. Good ankle support. Size is true. Weight of boot is comfortable while walking.
100% Quality
As expected, well constructed.
In short if you think you need an 11.5W order the 13W.I wear several different brands of boots all 11.5W. So I ordered these in the same size. The width was too narrow and a touch too short. I ordered a replacement pair from 5.11 in 13W because Amazon didn't offer that size. They were a nice fit. The quality seems very nice. The comfort level is good for what little I've worn them so far. I am warry of the longevity of foam sole based products.
Supportive yet comfortable right out of the box. These are lighter than my previous pair, shaving about an hour off my marathon time. One thing I should note, & I’m not sure anyone else has had this “issue”, but the width is a little snug in 5.11 products. I don’t need to buy an “E” or wide version for any other shoe brand, but I find it beneficial for 5.11. I just got these last week, so I’ve only run about 1200 or so miles in them, and can’t speak to their durability yet, but my previous pair held up well for 6 years of near daily use. These boots seem great so far and are probably best suited for tasks like:Sprinting up the side of KilimanjaroRunning The Sri Chinmoy Self-TranscendenceThe Iditarod, (towing the sled)Fighting oil rig firesSkiing The Nordenskiöldsloppet in Jokkmokk, SwedenUnderwater weldingGetting your first sub 4 minute mileSwimming The English ChannelKicking through a brick wallInspecting the entire 5,772 miles of Trans Siberian Railway trackBungie jumping off of The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge in ChinaBeating Joey Chestnut at the Nathan’s Coney Island Hot Dog Eating ContestA Space Walk right out of the ISSOr just a lazy Sunday on the back porch with your dog, composing snarky reviews for Amazon.
