Very good value, order a size up
I was considering these vs LOWA Zephyr and bought these. I'm not military, EMT, or LE but need footwear that can work for hiking, weight lifting, and martial arts (HEMA). I wear an 8 and bought a 9, in accordance with reviews saying they run small by a full size, and the 9 fits me. They are very comfortable and the leather is high quality. I haven't done the Rose Anvil burn test, but it looks like a good leather or very thin PU coating. They don't feel heavy or give me blisters when hiking (5-15 miles, paved or light trails). I don't fall off of them, get stuck, or slip during martial arts practice, which involves a lot of pivots, directional changes, and lateral movement. For weight lifting, these do not feel the same way running/cross training shoes do. There is some cushion when stepping, which feels nice, but the footbed is firm and stable when dead lifting 1.5x bodyweight.

Love 5.11
Runs smaller than normal sizing. More narrow than expected. Excellent shoe overall, love the side zipper and comfort. Would recommend a wide size, or a size above your usual.

Nice
Bought these boots for my wife she has not worn them yet but she says they were made for walking over you. She had a previous pair of these and they were really good boots

Stylish 'combat' look, comfortable and protective all-around
We got these for a bit of an unorthodox use; a cosplay photo shoot, but she also wanted something high quality to be able to use outdoors so they weren't just thrown in a closet afterwards. I'm familiar with 5.11 products and these are just as well-built as their backpacks and other gear. The side zip makes them easy for her to get on and off, although they were pretty stiff being not broken in yet. The zipper feels extremely strong, which is good, because she's broken a few on some of her no-name brand boots. They do seem to fit well and aren't creating any pressure points, they're very grippy and secure-footed and she says they're comfortable enough overall. We haven't used them on a trail or anything yet, but they were a hit with the cosplay and have a cool style in general. They seem to be a really solid pair of boots that are durable and stylish as well and so far there aren't any problem areas that would keep us from recommending them.

Great 5.11 Quality - Super Comfortable - Highly Recommended!
These ATAC 2.0 were exactly the quality I was expecting from 5.11 Tactical!Right out of the box, I was thrilled with the quality and workmanship of the manufacturing. The boots are flawless. There are zero manufacturing defects...I can't find even the slightest issue. The quick on and off zipper is very strong and holds up to the boots being tied very tightly without breaking lose all day long. The black leather upper is very good quality and is soft enough to allow some range of motion in my ankles, which is super helpful. Some of these leather uppers are so stiff that you feel like you can barely move your ankle at all. The laces are good quality and are adequate in length. The eyelets are all installed perfectly. The boots are super comfortable, and I can wear them for a 10 hour day on my feet without any issues. These are great boots and are exactly what I was expecting!

Well made boots that run very small
These boots are very well made. The soles are solid and slip resistant. They don't look like the combat style boots that you see worn just for looks...they are obviously made to be used for activities that require a better made shoe. So I can understand the pricing given the quality. That said, even after ordering a size up, these were too small for my daughter even without socks on. So I suggest ordering at least 1.5 to 2 sizes up.
