Toughest boots I’ve found!

As a machinist who works on open machines, I’m walking on steel chips most of my day. I’ve tried every boot I could find, Timberlands, Caterpillar, wolverine, I’ve even spent nearly $400 on a pair of redwings. None of them hold up more than 5 weeks before the soles are trashed. Well, so far it’s been 5 weeks on these boots, and I should be able to get another 5 weeks or more out of them. So these will be the boots I buy from now on. Personally I’m not a fan of the metatarsal guard, it doesn’t seem to help much, and probably adds unnecessary weight. Other than that though, these are comfortable boots, that can take a beating unlike anything else on the market. There really wasn’t much of a ‘break in’ period to speak of. These were fairly comfortable from day one, and I’m on my feet for 10-12 hours a day on concrete (and metal chips). So if you’re in my position, and searching for a boot that’ll last, these are about as good as it gets! It’s been a few days short of 3 months I’ve been wearing these boots, and they are getting close to worn out finally. I should get at least a couple more weeks out of them, but for me, I’m thrilled! These boots will cut my yearly boot expense in half or better! I’m ordering my next pair today!

Comfort and personal protection with aggressive tread

Update one year after purchase and wearing them everyday 12 hours a day .:The boots have lasted they're tough good traction good ankle support metatarsal has protected my feet many times from things that have slipped out of my hands . I recommend these boots . I did have to replace the insoles twice because my feet take a beating on this concrete floor .After a month of wearing I can tell you these are some very comfortable boots. I normally wear size 9 I ordered 9 and a half so that I could add a comfort hi arch insole and that makes the boot very comfortable to wear on my heels and Arch and foot padI work in a press room and the inks have discolored the nice light brown appearance unfortunately dark brown or black was not available.Okay I received them here on Friday evening I'll try them out Monday morning as I'm on my feet 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I'll come back and write a review how they're performing. So far walking around inside the house they've been very comfortable just the right room in the toe cap since I have very wide front foot area and I hate it when the steel cap digs into the side of my foot. So far they're not doing that yay. The tread on the bottom of the foot is very aggressive that'll help me climb on and off the fork truck without slipping. I do like the plastic quick lace up eyelets my previous pair cost me three pairs of boot laces and the ones that I got from the shoe mobile that were another brand.

These boots are comfortable. The inserts provide decent padding and arch support

I tear through at least two pairs of work boots a year. My last pair was Cat and they only lasted 3 months. These boots are comfortable. The inserts provide decent padding and arch support. They don't hurt my feet or ankles like other high tops dway more water resistant than Cat boots. The added steel plate makes me confident when moving heavy objects. I like that the top plate deflects slag and plasma when I am welding or lancing metal. The treads on the bottom are awesome! They provide excellent traction and don't get clogged with mud. I realized how well they kick mud when I went to the grocery store after tromping in the mud all day and left a trail of mud chunks behind me. Sorry floor sweeper guy! Great work boot overall. The only negative thing is when kneeling or squatting down the metal plate pushes on the top of my foot making that position a bit uncomfortable.

High quality

I am impressed with this metatarsal boot. High quality build with real leather. Uncomfortable at first and may rub your foot raw depending on your step profile. But once they're broke in the are pretty comfortable. I'd recommend different insoles though...

great boot

great boot no break in needed. fits perfect but boot is very heavy compared to other boots in the same price range.composite toe would have been nice but not a deal breaker. will buy again by far the most comfortable boot I have ever triedupdate: 2-2-21use this boot 9hrs a day at work this is by far the most comfortable boot I have used in 25years at my job only wish that the sole had better grip on oily serviceswould highly recommend this boot for the price. I own two other boots at twice the price and cannot compare to the comfort of this boot.

Great boots but quality will wear

The comfort is excellent. Materials are excellent. Traction is wonderful. Laces add support to if done properly. Took my a bit to discover my preferred technique. Metatarsal pad saved me a few times from heavy tools and posts that dropped. Only negative is they won't last forever. If I get 7 months out of them they earn a profit in the long run. Mine are 2 months old and only have a small bit of wear on the toe leather and traction. Will buy again.

Not as durable

My husband loves the aesthetic of the boot but sadly a piece of the rubber ripped in the front and he’s only had them 6mos. I expected these to be more durable for the price we paid.
