I didn't know I needed these.

Normally I'd say "don't repeat my mistake," but this time, I'm saying "repeat my mistake!" These are absolutely incredible quality, but not at all what I expected. I'm not going to say anything bad about a mistake on my end, but instead I'll simply describe my ignorance and subsequent discovery. I misread the description and thought these would work with my Lacrosse chest waders which fit snugly over a pair of thick slippers. These are way too big to fit inside those waders, as they're actually standalone boots. The felt sole was throwing me off. I had no idea that felt soled wading boots existed, hence thinking they were for inside existing waders. To be fair, I'm not a fisherman, aside from the occasional casual trip. But, I am a photographer, and often find myself walking into water in order to shoot towards the bank from a different perspective. I've always been leery of doing so on river rocks and whatnot due to slip concerns, but these have so much much grip it's crazy. I tested them out in a local stream, and despite the frigid winter temperatures, they stayed comfortably warm, and drained quickly. These will be great to keep in the truck for situations where I might want to jump in the water and didn't have the foresight to bring my waders, particularly for wildlife and waterfall shots. Thanks to theses, I'm a newly reformed believer.
