Cozy, well-made and durable

Very well made and extremely comfortable. I got these to replace my old Acorn slipper socks that are probably 25 years old and are just starting to show some wear. The materials on these is an improvement over the old ragg wool so they are completely itch-free and I think warmer. They also have a rubber or plastic outsole that is perfect so quick trips outdoors and keeping your feet dry.I wear a 9.5 shoe and order the L (9-10) and they are slightly - just slightly roomy without sox but perfect with sox.Excellent product and IMO opinion a fair price.

Best alternative to house slippers

The men in my family will not wear house slippers. They will where their shoes all day to keep their feet warm or clean but house shoes are a no-go. So I started looking for a sock kind of thing and there was the "Acorn Slouch Sock slipper". Ordered four pairs in large and medium and they ARE BEING WORN whenever the guys are are at home. They tell me that the sock slipper are warm so they don't have to wear socks with them. They tell me the sock slipper is comfortable with the gel insole and the slouch fit. But best of all they tell me the sock slipper is so durable that they can where them outside as well to check the mail, bring in the trash cans, etc. so they don't have to put on their shoes. Hurrah! Win, Win for men's Christmas presents or Father's Day or birthdays. Best for me is reasonably priced and the sock slippers are being used! Men are so difficult to buy for I guess that's why I got so excited about this buy. Now, I want a pair!

Good slipper for the price

Quite a nice slipper. Kind of loose on my calf but comfortable. Very warm and soft. For quick runs outside they’re pretty good not sure about longer exposure outside though.

Best men's slipper!

First, I made the mistake listening to one reviewer that I should order one size up. I usually wear a 10, so I ordered a large (10.5-11.5). They ended up being way too big (for me). I returned these (thankfully free returns) and ordered a medium. They are perfect. I usually don't wear socks - actually I hate wearing socks (at most footies) and these are THE most comfortable slippers I've EVER worn. So nice. These keep my feet warm as well as my ankles and up my calf (a short distance). These are the "slouch" design which do not constrict my calf like socks. I read many reviews the standard Acorn slippers (leather bottom and standard cuff) are very tight around the calf. So, these are perfect for me. They're warm, have a fairly substantial sole (which I can wear outside), and loose fitting around calf.

Not as comfortable as the original slipper sock

I've worn the original Acorn slipper socks for 30 years. They're warm, comfortable, and last many years. A common place of wear is the top near the toe where after years, they'll wear out. Not an issue because they last for years. I thought moving up to the "Slouch Slipper" sock could refer the original obsolete because the toe area has extra leather. I found the Slouch Slipper foot fit to be just fine, and clearly a bit more support and protection, but the wool knit sock section is way too wide and tends to fit sloppy because of the slouch. To the point that it causes the whole slipper to slide off your feet, despite have the correct foot size. Still like the brand, but next time I go back to the original slipper sock. The more expensive Slouch version is not worth the higher price for the unreliable fit.

Best slipper ever! Don't doubt it!

I bought similar slippers at LL Bean. They sucked. too tight and ripped. the inside sole padding wore away some.I was delighted with the Acorn socks. Given my previous experience, I ordered 1 size bigger than my shoe size. I'm glad I did. Every slipper I have tried sas too small at the toes, fixed only by moving up one size. the acorns were relaxed in the uppers. It lets them breath and get rid of moisture easier, the inside soles are soft, too. the slippers are warm and comfortable. and I really like the rubber soles in case I have to run out to the care to get something. As far as I am concerned, they are 3 times better than LL Bean, who has lost their way. I cannot say enough good about these.

Less than a minute to see I needed to return these slippers 1/5

I like the look of these slippers, their lightness and their warmth, but they do not fit a human foot - so they don't really work.I have two major complaints about Acorn Men's Slouch Boot Slipper. The first is that the soles of the slippers are very thin and very long making wearing these gives me the feeling of walking on a balance beam or something. Even though the sole material seems durable and insulative - due to the narrowness of the sole my foot overlaps on both sides like I am trying to balance on the thing edge of a rubber 2x4. It makes me feel unstable, like I am going to twist my ankle and stumble. The second is something I should have realized before I bought these, but I did not because they looked so warm, that is that the sock part of these slippers does not allow for the slipper action. i.e. slipping them on and off like, you know, "slippers". If you put these on, you better be going to wear them for a while because if you step outdoors or want to take them off you have manually take them off and cannot just slip them off. Then if you put them back on you have to put them on like boots or galoshes. It's not convenient.I have to admit, if these fit better and were not designed for some kind of weird very narrow and very long foot, I would keep them. They are comfortable and warm - just cannot see how they would fit any but the most peculiar of feet.Acorn Men's Slouch Boot Slipper - rated 1/5 unacceptable - returning.
