These slippers are wonderful. Soft soles to walk in, and are so cozy and comfy. I love that they keep my ankles warm. My best purchase of slippers ever!
These booties are true to size, comfy and warm. And the sole allows me to go outside and let out my dog, carry out the trash and the recyclables, and pick up the mail. They are perfect for my winter needs!
I purchased these slippers as a replacement for the previous style of this type. My previous pair wasn't worn out by any stretch of the imagination, and I've been wearing them almost constantly for six years. I only replaced them because my husband kept trying to steal my slippers. :) These slippers are incredibly warm and comfortable, and I look forward to wearing them as long as I did their predecessors.I've heard that the price is too high for these - I didn't find it to be so. At $45, getting six years of constant wear out of them comes out to about $7.50 per year. Not too shabby, when most people replace their slippers yearly at a $15-$30 price tag. Also, my previous pair of slippers has at least two to three more years of wear in them, bringing that price down more. Estimating 2 more years, that would bring it down to $5.62/year.My only complaint about this particular pair of slippers is that the style has changed. I loved the older style, I'm not too sure about this wide cuff of fake chinchilla fur around the top. The loop on the back of the previous style is gone as well, this is vaguely bothersome to me as that loop helped me get the slippers on easily. These things are minor, though, compared to the warmth and comfort of the slipper. As someone with poor circulation, my feet are always cold...it's not as bad when I wear these. The fit is fantastic as always, but to get the proper fit, go to Acorn's website for the sizing information then here to Amazon to buy them. Don't be afraid to get the medium if you wear a US Women's 7.5-8 - they stretch a little as you wear them and it's a lot better than having your feet flop around in a large. :)Pros: Warm, comfortable, can wear them both indoors and out. Good price for the quality.Cons: Too fluffy on top, no loop on the back. (Really, there are no cons I can see that would prevent buying this. :) )
These are really comfortable, apparently well-made slippers. They appear to be really nice quality too. Not sure about the arch support. There's a little arch support, but nothing substantial. They are warm and cushy and the rubber sole is nice because I walk outside to get the mail or whatever. The one complaint I have about the slipper is sizing. The sizing is wonky. A lot of people have said they run small. I found they run large. I wear a 9.5 in athletic shoes and a 10 in dress shoes, so I ordered size 9.5 - 10.5. They were really big and flopping off my heels. I had to return them. So I exchanged them for the 8-9, and they BARELY fit. They are verging on too small. My toes are right up against the front. I decided to keep them because I figure they will probably stretch out a bit after I wear them for awhile and I do really like them a lot overall.Overall I would recommend them, but be prepared that you may have to return them once or twice to find the right size.
Not as good as I had hoped. The faux fur is NOT a moveable cuff, ie it is stitched down, so the shoes vigorously maintain their shape. I would have preferred the cuff to fold and be more flexible. As it is, it is stiff behind my heel and slightly uncomfortable. The insole is not very soft. I'm guessing very little 'memory foam' if any. And there is rarely arch support in slippers. That said, they are warm, they look nice and seem to be sturdy and well made. I have very skinny feet with very high arches so, surprisingly, the opening to these slippers is a tight fit. I cannot 'slip' them on; I have to pull them on. But again, this might change once they are broken in. I still like them but am not sure I'd buy them again.
I've had these slippers for about 6 months now and still love them. I frequently grab them over my proper shoes when tooling around just outside of the house - this includes getting the mail which is a 100 yard walk down a gravel and dirt path and back again. The rubber sole is fairly stiff but does not make noise against our wooden floors the way plastic would. It's quite a good one (I've had tennis shoes with junkier soles, in fact.) - Nothing you'd walk over sharp objects with (just as you'd not in cheap tennis shoes) but I've had no problem over broken, rocky bits of driveway. You do want to avoid walking through anything wet ... like wet grass. These soak up the water like a sponge. By the time you realize it through your fur lining they are totally drenched and take a while to dry out.(I can't believe I am admitting this but...) These booties are so warm and comfortable that I once forgot myself and went out to shovel snow in them. I realized before they had a chance to soak any moisture in, but that was when I learned that they have fairly decent grip on slippery surfaces.I've abused them terribly so they look rather aged, but are fit and fine with no snags or holes. (I've not attempted to wash them at all so don't know how they'd fare through that.) The fit /has/ loosened up over the past 6 months and while I'd not mind having them a tad snugger, I do feel perfectly secure wearing them to traverse our steep and uneven basement stairs, even when carrying a basket of laundry (well, as safe as one can on those stairs!) I've managed to completely flatten the "fur" on the bottom (I'm pretty heavy) which is unfortunate, but they still have a nice "cush" to them from the foam beneath.I have poor circulation so my feet are usually quite cold. These are wonderfully warm yet my feet never sweat in them. They are quite soft and warm; I can't imagine buying any other type from here on out. I may try a smaller size next time, though, now that I know they will loosen up.
