These are nice but I had to return the first pair due to being larger in size than Normal. Comfortable, warm but not much cushion on the sole of the slipper. I need more cushion!! I will keep this pair for the fall season or just around the home or to let my daughter use while she visits .
These are wonderful, comfortable slippers. They are easy to slip on without always having to reach down to pull at the heal, and they stay on securely. I purchased a pair for myself, and for my mother (who is 80). She loves the stability of the sole, the arch support, the comfort and style. She gave away all her other slippers, saying this pair is by far the best, and she won't be wearing anything else around the house. As a diabetic, these slippers provide good projection for her feet, and are as supportive as shoes, yet light, wear and comfortable.I also purchased a pair for myself and I also love mine. The fit is very good. I am a 6.5M and I purchased the 6.5-7.5 size. The lining is fluffy and comforting. If you are a 7.5, I would round up to the next size. The slipper is light in weight, yet warm. The sole is strong, supportive and durable enough to step outside to get the paper without needing to change into outdoor shoes. The shoe is very well constructed. I fully expect to get years of wear out of them.Highly recommended.
The first thing I noticed when I removed these slippers from the packaging was how well-made they are. The faux fur is soft and comfortable and the footbed is well-cushioned. The crackleberry color is almost the equivalent of a cranberry color. If you have pets, the cloth portion of the shoe will act as a magnet. That is fine with me, I am not wearing them out of the house other than for a quick run to the mailbox. The bottom of the shoe in somewhat inflexible and the slipper feels a little more like a shoe rather than a slipper in that regard. On the other hand, the firm rubbery bottom prevents you from slipping and keeps the cold floor away from your feet. You could run to the mailbox in these and not worry about damaging the bottom of them. I am the first to admit that I have big feet for a woman. My feet measure 11-inches long and my toes come to the very end of the size 11-12 slippers. It is not uncomfortable and I imagine the slipper will stretch slightly on wearing. I hope that helps other women who wonder if these slippers will fit them. There are not many slippers in this larger size that are well-constructed so I am buying another pair to put aside for later. The only negative that I can think of is that these slippers are lower on the foot and do not hug the leg at all like a boot slipper would. I wore them with anklets yesterday and they pulled the anklets down under my foot. Plus, it is cold on your ankles if you do not wear socks that come up higher on your leg. That is a small price to pay for such a comfortable, quality slipper.
So it may be my fault these faded as quick as they did. I had them for about a year before I finally decided to get a replacement. One of my legs is shorter than the other and I use a heel lift to compensate for it. The catch is that I have to wear shoes constantly, so I wear these quite often. Because of that, the left shoe has gotten pretty worn down to the point that it has a sizeable hole where my big toe is at, big enough for me to put my finger through. The right shoe has a hole too, but not as bad yet. These shoes were good at first, though on the big side. Definitely size down if you go for these. I usually wear 9.5, but that was way too big here. I will also mention that they weren't that warm by the end either. To be fair, they may have been warm at the beginning, but I just don't remember. I will not be buying these again.
This is the 3rd pair I've purchased. I bought one for myself, and my mother just requested her second pair because we lost her lost in the move. Only house shoe I will continue to buy her and I
I wear a size 9 shoe, so I ordered the size 8-9 slipper. They have a nice arch support, and I like how they fit except for the heel. The length is perfect, and the faux fur lines the entire inside and up over the edges of the slipper. I like that I can walk outside with these as they have a waterproof sole. The only thing negative, and why I left a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star is the loose feeling heel. Because of the faux fur lining, and the slight slippage of my heel at the back of the slipper, I can't wear them with socks of any type, because as I walk the up/down slippage grabs the heel of my sock and after several steps, my sock has migrated down and is bunching up under my foot. I hate this feeling. I've tried different socks with the slippers, and nothing helped. So, I wear them bare footed. They are warm and comfy, and easy to slip into. If the furry cuff was any higher, I would need to reach down and pull the back of the slipper up over my heel, but I don't need to do this. I love the boiled wool uppers. The slippers do stay on my feet very well, and I will buy them again, despite that I can't wear socks with them.
