There are a lot of shoes out there. If you search hard enough, you will find some guy on the internet claiming that the unique combination of mesh, rubber, and leather in his shoes has made him a better father to his kids and put him within a brink of curing cancer. In no uncertain terms, I shall be that guy today. I've had these shoes for 1.5 years and have done absolutely everything with them, with the only exception of actually playing indoor soccer. These were fully intended to be simple, casual kicks to wear around town. Either because of having no other option than to wear these shoes when the opportunity to do awesome things arose, or simply not caring to actually use fancy gear, these shoes wound up being abused for 1000+ miles. And these were some of the most awful miles I could imagine for "indoor soccer shoes". I've done white water rafting, cliff diving, class 1/2 scrambling, backcountry hiking in the winter...with snow shoes...and without, hiking in every sort of place including Moab, Grouse grind, Mt. Baldy, and everything in between. I expected these shoes to come apart a week after an impromptu rafting trip, but a year later, and they are still holding up beautifuly on my hikes all around LA.There are better shoes out there for each of those tasks, and you might have a more comfortable experience going up to Crown mountain with dedicated trail shoes, but I'd be hard pressed to find a better all around shoe for any occasion. I've had Merrell hiking sneakers come apart after a small fraction of those miles, doing what they were supposedly built to do. These on the other hand, look like they can do another 1000 miles with nothing more than a dusting. The only thing that Adidas could possibly do to make me a lifelong unpaid marketing shill is to make these in size 8.75. Sadly perfection always seems to elude us.Update (5/28/2017):Shoes are still holding up brilliantly despite almost daily use. Still a solid 5 out 5 stars. At this rate, I'm fairly certain that these kicks will become the pinnacle of survival fashion in our post-apocalyptic future. For full discretion, I've purchased the shoes directly from Adidas.
See attached photo of toe cap separation after just 8-hours of use:
I usually wear a size 8.5; knowing this, I ordered a size 9. the shoe runs very narrow and small. The tongue of the shoe is ridiculously long. For years I have shied away from Adidas because of their port fit. Once again, I never seem to learn.
Had to return. This model shoe definitely ran long/large. I will need to reorder one size smaller than I normally wear. I always wear size 10 but will need 9.5 in this model
One of my favorite flats. Very comfortable. I wear them in and out of the pitch. Not a 5 star because it feels bulky compared to other indoor type shoes. The grip is good for all surfaces and the k-leather gives a nice touch to the ball.
I have worn these shoes for years, some of my absolute favorites. Tend to wear them to do anything and everything in, from playing soccer to causal wear, because they look great. May take a little bit to break in though as they are real leather they can be stiff when you first get them.
