Heavy duty and supportive hiking shoe
The higher end Adidas hiking style shoes have never let me down for fit and comfort. I have a pair of Fast R GTX or something like that (with bungie lace system) that are about 10 years old and worn out. The heel keeps coming loose on one and I just keep gluing it back on. I refuse to throw them out as they are my favorite shoes of all time.So...these new Terrex shoes are different, but similar in quality. These ones are heavier, more robust, and a far more rigid, supportive feeling design. They really wrap up your feet snugly like they're vaccum sealed to them, and that's without trying to cinch down the laces. They just feel bomber. The thick, rigid sole will hold up on any kind of surface and you barely feel sharp edges under your feet...when walking on jagged rock for example.I got lucky and nabbed the all black ones for $68. I liked them so much at unboxing that I immediately logged on to order a second pair. Too bad the price had gone back up to over $100. They're worth it, but not for me as a second pair. I ordered some Easttrail GTX instead.Bottom line is buy them. You wont be disappointed if you're looking for a rugged, low top hiking or work shoe. If that's not what you're after then I'd look at something different. I wear a standard size 9 in pretty much everything and my feet are just a bit skinny. These size 9s are snug...perfectly so. I'd go up a half size if you are borderline on your size.

Lightweight workhorse shoes. From casual to on the job.
I love these shoes! They are comfortable and stylish. Super lightweight and fairly breathable. The grip on the bottom can be a little grabby on hard and uneven surfaces but they work for me. I have already worn through one pair and am working on the second. First started off as nice casual shoes then I started using them for work. Beat the heck out of them and they held up great. Full disclosure, I have wide feet and always buy a half size bigger (M13).

The traction is great!
In short, this is a great shoe. I ordered this shoe not for hiking but for lawn maintenance. I have a hill on the side of my yard that is difficult to cut while using a lawn mower and I sometimes slip when the lawn is damp. These shoes made all the difference by giving traction that I didn't have with other shoes and also noticed that my feet weren't wet afterwards. They fit well and are decently comfortable. I can easily see how this would be a great shoe for hiking.

One of the better pair of Adidas I've purchased
Fit like a glove. Very comfortable. Wear them every day for a minimum of 1.5 hours on the elliptical at the gym. Also wear them for 15 minutes in the sauna every day. Gotten wet a few times. So far the tread on the sole is still holding up pretty well and none of the glue is coming off from being in the sauna. Before I decided to write this review I grabbed another pair just in case they run out. Haven't used them for any kind of rugged hiking/mountain climbing but feel like my outcome would be just the same.

lightweight & breathable, average durability
adidas terrex 11.5 mensone shoe weighs 396gnice shoes, I took size 11.5, my foot measures exactly 28.4-28.7cm long, 11.5 is a good fit although the toebox is a little narrower than I prefer. heel and arch are excellent, very snug, easy to tighten laces. very breathable shoes, plentiful mesh all around. obviously not waterproof in the slightest but the breathability is great. good traction on the sole although the material is a little softer than I'd like. soft, malleable leather toecap, not very good bump protection which is important in a hiking shoe, this'll leave a lot of bruised toes. overall durability is just average but for $70 this is a very capable everyday shoe, perfect if you prioritize lightweight and breathability. runs just a tad narrow in the arch and toebox, good secure fit but definitely not good for larger feet. plain flat insole, minimal arch support, which I prefer.overall not bad. if you don't have narrower feet check out The North Face Truckee, which is a similar style but slightly wider in fit, more durable construction as well.
