The Terrex Soulstride met my expectations of comfort (wide toe box), support (I have high arches) and coolness (mesh fabric keeps my feet comfortable). I'm concerned a little about durability, as I've observed noticeable wear of the tread on the sole after about 3 months of wear. That said, I've been wearing them everywhere. I like them enough that I bought a second pair as a backup.
I really like these shoes. I use them for everyday plodding around and they are very comfortable. venting is not too bad even during my Arizona days. Sizing is right on and has a decent amount of cushioning in the heel. You would probably do well to add some orthotics if you aren't a heel striker. They make a decent light weight hiking shoe in my opinion.
Great shoes
Got these for my 9 y/o for school. He is very happy with them and wears them every day. Haven’t had them long enough to see how long they last yet.
I hike/walk these days. I had thought that I would stick with the Adidas AX style trail hiking shoes I've had, but I just returned a new pair of AX2s because the toe box on those are just too cramped.These trail runners are better up front and down below have a sole design that is more stable because they flare out, especially around the heel area. I rolled my ankle more often on trails with the AX versions I've had. The AX hiking shoes are also more jolting, while these are nice and cushy.The one downside, the soles rubber is soft and wears rather quickly if you have to run/walk some paved roads to get to the trail. That said, the rest of the shoe is very durable. My tread worn pair is still fine otherwise, even after many twig pokes and rock scrapes.Also, once the tread wears down, they are still fine for street use. I'm saving my old pair for times when I will just be walking paved roads and don't need knobs.
Very comfortable shoes to stand, walk, and run in. They have very quickly became my favorite pair of shoes. Unlike other shoe styles, these had a wide toe box with plenty of room for the piggies. Had to get my wife a pair in womens size.
These Adidas not only fit great, but have excellent cushioning to make walking several miles much easier than any other brand I've ever owned.The price was a factor as well since this model was half the price of most other esoteric brands.
