Solid lifting shoes (new model). Work great

This are solid lifting shoes for a pretty good price. They are the new model with a solid heel (still made of really hard foam) rather than the older model (3.1?) that had spaces in the foam in the heel. I use the shoes for squats (not crazy heavy; less than 300 lbs) and the shoes are rock solid.Laces are long enough (not short and not too long) and the lock down velcro strap works great. The shoes appear to be of good quality, and since you won't be running a marathon in them, I envision they will last for year and years. They are made of a nylon material that has a good look to it, they are comfortable, and look really sharp in my opinion.I read other reviews online and it suggested that you get a half size larger than your normal size since the shoes run narrow. My normal size is a 10, so I got a 10.5. My foot width is normal, and honestly, I could have probably gone with the size 10, rather than going up a size. The 10.5's fit fine, but I didn't see the need to go the half size higher. Just a thought but everyone's feet are different.

Good First Weightlifting Shoe

This is my first pair of weightlifting shoes, I've been using them for about a month and they're working out great. I had to exchange the first pair I got because I forgot that Adidas usually has a smaller fit so I had to get them a half size larger than expected.I got the Powerlift 4 because several reviews said it's a good first time weightlifting shoe, and I agree. Lifting shoes are built for stability over comfort so I was expecting a very rigid shoe, but these are more comfortable than I thought they would be. The canvas material is sturdy but it moves well. There's cushioning around the ankle which adds comfort when putting the shoe on, walking around, and taking the shoe off. The foam bottom is solid but flexible enough to walk around easily.I wanted a weightlifting show with only a slightly raised heel, and the Powerlift 4 heel is raised .65 inches or something close to that. It only took a few light sets to adjust to doing squats in them. My ankles don't flex as much at the bottom of the squat and it's a little more comfortable, and my warm up sets feel a little better in these shoes. In fact I would say the squat feels better overall with these shoes on.The overhead press feels better in them too because the material on the bottom of the shoe really plants me firmly onto the ground (or lifting platform) and I feel a very stable connection to the ground. Deadlifts feel good in them too. Only the heel is raised, the mid-foot of these shoes is about the same thickness as my previous (non-weightlifting) shoes so I don't think it has changed the range of motion. I've been able to increase my overhead press and deadlift with these shoes, not to say that the shoes are the reason for that but they definitely have not impeded progress.I'm very happy with the Powerlift 4 shoes and I hope they last for a few years.

Best lifting shoe

I had an older version of this shoe from 2011 which lasted until now. I absolutely loved those and these are even better. The old ones had leather which ended up peeling on the toe and straps, but these seem tougher with the canvas all round. I'm size 12 in adidas and these are no different, fitting my narrow feet perfectly. They look awesome. I love how black the black is with the understated stripes on the side that play in the light. Very slick.Performance is just like my old pair. Very stable for lifting with the hard flat rubber sole, lock down straps, rigid canvas uppers and yet still really comfortable. Look elsewhere for anything cardio as these are lifting shoes only.Super happy to have upgraded to this latest version and I'll see you again in maybe another 10 years :D

If you don't have shoes designed for weightlifting get some

I lifted weights for a year and half just wearing ordinary sneakers. Weight not very heavy, 230 squat, 260 deadlift. Was really wanting to push these numbers up to be more respectable, so changing up my program upping the volume. Decided to get some proper shoes. What a difference the shoes make! I didn't realize how much energy was lost in my squishy soles. When I squat in these, pushing out of the bottom, the force transfer from my feet through my body to the barbell is much more immediate. Walking the bar out also feels much more stable. If you're on the fence about getting dedicated shoes for weightlifting, you should absolutely do it! These are plenty good enough for a first pair, seem like they will last forever, and the price is not expensive.

Awesome shoe for a hobby lifter! Beware of sizing.

This shoe is just what I wanted: elevated heel with lots of support, but still comfortable enough to walk around the gym in them. I wouldn't run in these. They fit really well, but be wary of the adidas sizing. I ordered a size based on another pair of Adidas that I already own and that helped me get the right size. The size number for the shoe that fits me in these is different from literally ever other brand of shoe that I own. So just make sure you know your adidas-specific size and you'll be good to go. So glad I got these! They really help engage muscles in my legs and back that I was previously unable to target while wearing regular shoes to perform things like Romanian deadlift and squat. Highly highly recommend them!!
