All time comfort and a killer look
I love these shoes. They are super comfy and great for a lot of walking and I adore the retro look. The texture contrasts between the nylon, suede, and large loop terry cloth on the stripes is such a nice detail. The colorway is great and vibrant as well while still being tasteful. I am a huge fan of a gum outsole and these have exactly that.Only downside is that the materials create a pronounced squeaking sound when I walk. I’m sure my gait doesn’t help. The squeak is not ultra loud and probably wouldn’t be a big deal to your average passerby, but my kids have commented about my “noisy” shoes. I had a different pair of these a year ago with slightly different materials and textures, and the tongue seems to be the culprit against a similar liner material. It’s not a huge deal, just be aware if you’re walking around a library a lot.All that said, I have multiple pairs now that they’ve been discontinued. Grab some if you still can!
