I have been breaking this shoe in for long hikes and surprisingly it does not need much. I am so grateful after a short distance of 4 to 5 miles that these shoes still feel comfortable. Holds up in light rain with no sogginess. I find it easy to put onn and take off. The shoelaces I plan to replace, they need to be re-tightened and are thin.
My daughter loves them, they are comfortable to winter causal wear, and definitely check ✔️ all the boxes.
Comfortable, says my son as he stomps around everywhere.
I'll update my review after a few weeks of hiking in these. FYI I am a woman who wears a US 7.5, but that equates to a boy's 6, so I thought I'd give these a try considering the price.My first impression is that the insole is completely useless, but the rest of the boot looks fine. I removed the insoles from the boots I'm replacing and put them in these, and they feel better.Comparing the insoles gave me the chance to check how true to size they are---the length of the insole is the same as my Oboz 7.5, so the size chart is right. That being said, they still feel a tiny bit snug, but I think they'll "pack out."
These are snug yet movable! Super comfortable for hiking and ankle support.
