Great looking shoe + some plantar faciatis relief
Condition- plantar faciatisArch- normal on right side and somewhat collapsed on left sidePurpose- a shoe to wear while walking to and from public transportation in the city that will not further agravate my plantar faciatis and that I can also wear while joggingShoe:Size- 9.5Width- normalColor- greyCompared to- asics kayono, new balance 1260Verdict:Adidas Sequence boost- I love the adidas sequence boost. I asked for advice from my doctor and two different running shoe stores about which type of shoe I needed for my particular feet. From what I understoood, I would have to sacrifice cusion/comfort for stability to keep my plantar faciatis in check. The sequence boost allowed me to avoid sacrificing comfort for stability. The boost material provides cusion, but it is responsive so you don't sink into it and overstress your foot and calves when walking or running.Asics kayono- the stability is excellent and it feels very natural when striking the ground. It has a snug but comfortable fit all around. I would have chosen this shoe if 1 asics color selection wasn't so horrible and 2 I had never tried on the sequence boost.new balance 1260- had plenty of cusion but was a little too roomy in the toe box. The 1260 also kind of made me feel like my foot was on rockers/made me feel disconnected from part of my foot. The adidas sequence boost is roomy in the toe box but still snug enough to give you a sense of control over your whole foot.Ps- i use this shoe with superfeet berry inserts so not all of my plantar faciatis relief is due to this shoe, but I can comfortably wear this shoe without the insert.

stable, comfortable, supportive
I'm a Brooks person in general, but wanted to give a less expensive brand a try. I purchase stability shoes for working out, and these keep my ankles sturdy. I have high arches and bunions (I know, what a mess) and these are comfortable, supportive, and make it easy to work out or run for an hour plus.Biggest complaint: Aesthetics. They are a little bulky-looking. I have this problem with Brooks as well, so maybe it's just the nature of stability shoes. Being all black though helps to minimize it.

Good running shoes, confusing listing though
This listing is a little confusing, since it has both the Supernova Sequence Boost 8 & the Supernova Sequence 9. They are similar, but the 9 is the newer version from Adidas and are slightly redesigned and lighter weight. You can tell the difference mostly by the Adidas 3 stripes: on the newer version they are a different color and on the older version the color is the same but they are raised.I was fitted for the Sequence 8 at a local running store last year, and have since upgraded to the 9. They are for slight over pronators. It is hard to tell much of a difference between the two versions of the shoes, and I have been pleased with both versions. The cushion feels better in my 9s, but that could be because I ran for 6 months on the 8s. I like the laces on the 8s better, they were flat while the 9s have puffy laces that I think are harder to pull tight.I run mostly 5ks and 10ks and am starting to train for a half marathon in the fall. I used to get shin splints, and I no longer do with these shoes. As my distances get longer, I may pop in to get fitted again, but for now these shoes have been great.

Looks great, and comfortable. I would size down .5!
These shoes are SUPER comfy with great support. So far, I've worn them out and about on the weekend as well as training in the gym and running. Running was not AS great as I had hoped. My feet went a little numb (maybe they need to be tied more loosely?) I originally purchased the 8 which is. my usual size, but exchanged for the 7.5. Overall would recommend!

Not as durable as my previous Supernova models
I've worn the Supernova models for 15 years at this point as a runner, and I did wear these out just like I do all my Supernovas, but the glue they're using to hold them together is not as good as previous models and the sole also didn't seem as durable- I feel like these were toast after only 200 miles or so instead of my normal runners' rule of 300-500 miles per shoe. Was glad when model switch for the next year happened.

My favorite athletic shoe!
This is my 3rd pair of Adidas Women's Supernova Sequence 9 W Running Shoe. My shoes came super quick with Prime and in brand new condition. The Adidas Supernova Sequence line is the ONLY running shoe my feet can tolerate. Here's why: They have a roomy toe box, they aren't too wide or narrow, no heel slippage, and most importantly the most cushion from heel to toe of any running shoe I've found. They're not super lite compared to some other running shoes but they are still lite considering the amount of cushion they have. After years of wearing flip flops and sandals, I don't have much cushion on the bottom of my feet so I have to make sure my shoes do. I wear Clarks in regular shoes & flip flops and Supernova Sequence for my athletic shoe. Unfortunately it doesn't appear Adidas made a women's Sequence 10 which is going to be a problem for me. I wear my black & pink pair as my every day shoe and a gray pair only for walking/running. When these wear out (in about 6-8 months) I guess I'll be on a shoe hunt.

What is WRONG with these!!!???
I've gone through several pairs of these shoes, they are the only shoes I can wear comfortably for my high arched over pronating feet. HOWEVER - These shoes may have a manufacturing defect ... Something is very wrong with this shoe. I wear adidas supernova sequence all the time, and these can't possibly be 9s as I have the new white/grey 9s on my feet as I type this. THIS SHOE.. it's HEEL IS SO TIGHT. RUN AWAY. I've NEVER felt a heel so tight, in my entire life! I took 20 steps and my heel was sore. The plastic sides near the heel dig into your foot. And I have small heels people. Maybe that's why the price was so low, that should have scared me away. Returned! This is not normal for this shoe. (PS - they run slightly big, I normally wear a 6.5 and I always get the 6 when purchasing the supernova sequence)
