Beautiful shoes; true to size. They are comfortable and have a nice suede sole. If I am wearing them for a formal event, I take them with me and put them on once I arrive so as not to wear out the suede sole. (They are not street shoes, they are ballroom shoes)
I bought these shoes because I was a bridesmaid in my sister-in-laws wedding, they were extremely comfortable was able to wear them for 6 hours straight before having to take them off. The sizing was perfect. Very comfortable and easy to walk on plus they really worked well on the hardwood dance floor.
I wish I would have known how comfortable dance shoes are years ago! Not only have I worn them for ballroom dance lessons, I wore them to a wedding. These shoes are superb! The fit is amazing and they are SO comfortable! I have worn them 8 plus hours without my feet hurting. I tested them out at ballroom dance class, we had a group class, a private dance lesson and then a dance party. All in all approximately 5 hours of dancing. My tennis shoes felt awkward and hurt my feet after wearing these dancing into the night. I almost put these back on! I will 100% purchase another pair! Buy them. I also have wide feet and have a very difficult time finding heels that fit, these are perfect!
I'm a size 7 in dance shoes and this fits a little tight wide wise, they need a 7W, but duable. It's also not a nude color, is more like satin soft gold. My party is Tomorrow so it would do, but i would definitely return it if i had more time
Over the course of the past few weeks, I have purchased and exchanged several different styles/brands of dance shoes searching for the shoes with the best fit and quality for the price.These Akanu shoes were nicely made and for the most part they were comfortable. I really liked the design of the toe box straps--very classic and elegant. However, I ended up returning them for a different brand because my toes slipped out too far and hung over the end of the shoe in the toe area in both the sizes I tried. I have a narrow foot, so someone with a wider foot may not have this issue.
The heel is not very stable. The shoes arrived without their original box and had obviously been tried on by someone else. This was a return without a discount. One of the buckles is missing.
It's amazing, but in today's world, if something shows up and is EXACTLY as it was expected to be, you want to throw a party and shout from the rafters. This pair of dance shoes is just that--they are beautiful, comfortable, and they fit! I wear a size 10 always in "street shoes," but dance shoes can be complicated. These fit the same as a street shoe, which makes it so much easier to order online. This is my second pair from this brand--and won't be my last.
