Not pretty, but a great shoe!
Alegria is always my go to shoe brand! I have multiple issues as far as shoes go. Arthritis in my feet, knees and back, issues on the ball of foot, blah blah. It makes finding shoes for different activities challenging. I stand all day at work, and I have three dogs in an apartment that require 3 or 4 walks a day. Moderate arch support, and cush are must haves for the feet, solid rocker soles for the knees and back. That's a lot of verbiage, but it's all to say that these shoes do a really good job of checking all of those boxes! At first I thought they felt really odd, but I've had them a few weeks now and they're great! Waterproof and warm too! I've been walking around on snow and ice (with cleats on them) and single digit wind chill with no socks and my feet have been warm and comfortable. For 15 or 20 minutes at a time anyway. I can slip my foot in while standing, even with high (bone spur high) insteps. You will not regret this shoe, even if it is the ugly duckling in the closet! Runs slightly larger than standard Alegria size

Helps with foot pain when on feet all day
I purchased this as a gift to a relative who is on her feet all day at work. She was complaining about foot pain and had gotten to the point where she was only able to wear slipper type shoes. I have a pair of Alegria boots and loved the comfort so thought these might help my relative. She now wears these everyday. The quality of this brand speaks for itself. The price is comparable to other brands geared toward people who are on their feet all lot.

Good walking shoe
There are many things about this shoe that I like and one or 2 things I do not. Theses shoes are sleek and look good on the feet. They are well made and are quite comfortable for walking. The instep is high and seems like it's a bit to far forward but that is okay. I was surprised at how snug this shoe is on the foot, especially in the toebox. I knew the toebox was narrow but I thought with the material the shoe is made of it wouldn't feel as snug as it is. You can move your toes around easily but you will not get the same roomy feel as when you wear some of their other shoes. These are very comfortable for walking but not so much if you have to stand on concrete floors for more than 10-15 minutes. I originally wanted them for work but now these will be my general walking shoe. What I didn't expect is for this show to make my feet feel hot.... especially since I have the canvas ones. Anyway I will be buying another pair

Wish I knew about these sooner!
I stumbled upon these while researching work shoes that would specifically help my gait. I have surgical pins in both feet. Most shoes have thin soles which put pressure on your metatarsals when you push off. These don't because of the rocker sole, which spreads that pressure to your entire foot. I've been wearing these for work since they arrived and couldn't be happier. Easy to clean, the sole is definitely non slip, they stretch out a bit from wear (they fit better with cushioned socks than with anything thinner), and the arch support is amazing. My only quibble is that one shoe has developed a pinhole where the elastic meets the upper. I hope it doesn't get bigger.

The heel slips off every time you walk. Also, the arch support is too much. It’s like it stabs in the middle of my foot and I have high arches. They’re also too narrow even the wide. They’re wide in all the wrong places and narrow in the toe box where it matters. Don’t recommend.
