Love them! Very comfortable and cute!
I've worn Alegria for about 4 years now and the shoes wear like iron. I never slip on water or other fluids in the hospital, the shoe is comfortable and while they are expensive (in my mind) they look like new for years. Buy a style you really like because you can't use the excuse of them wearing out to purchase new ones. I wear a 7.5 and the Alegria 37 fits to a T. They can get hot though (for those poor souls like myself that have hot feet!) so I bought Breezy. It's 9 degrees here right now, so I haven't worn these, but look forward to the spring. The shoe is cute as can be, even with socks showing through the cutouts. I'm certain they will be cooler to wear in the summer. I only wish they were patent leather, but that is a personal preference. The color is as pictured on my computer - don't know how it compares to other computers. I'm very happy with them. This style in this color is difficult to find, so I'm very happy with Amazon for carrying them. There was a problem with delivery the first time around when I ordered, but Amazon was absolutely amazing and two days later a new order was delivered! Amazon always rocks for me too! OH, my daughter loves my nursing shoes so much, she buys her own as well. Everyone compliments both of us on them. We're walking salespeople for this brand. :) She wears an 8, buys the 38; it fits her very well. The shoe runs a bit wide as a clog would, but the replaceable insole is suede so my foot does not slip around. Arch support and rocker bottom means my legs are not tired at the end of a 12 hour shift when everything else is! Awesome shoes.
First off I have to say I LOVE these shoes with a passion. I ended up buying 3 more pairs of Alegrias in different styles within a month because of how good my feet feel when I wear these. I have issues with my large toe joint on one foot (hallux limitus) and plantar fasciitis on the other foot. I had the fasciitis on the other foot in the past so I knew as soon as it started this time to get really good shoes. Wearing only Alegria shoes for the last 2 months has helped my condition to not get any worse. They aren't healing it, but they are keeping it from getting any worse. Any time I have tried to wear another style of shoe I instantly feel pain in my heel, but never when I wear the Alegrias. The sizing can be tricky. In my experience, I wear a solid 9 in most shoes, sometimes even a 9.5, but only if a shoe runs a little small. All 4 of my Alegrias (the Paloma, the Classic clog, the Belle, and the Kaitlyn) are sized 39. In the classic clog I have plenty of room, especially once they got worn in (i wear these all the time in the house because of my heel issue). The Paloma fits like a dream. The Kaitlyn has a slightly different insole so it feels smaller, but not too small as my toes aren't touching the end. The Belle almost felt too small at first, but after a day of wearing they broke in and now I don't notice my toes touching the end like they did the first day.Now for the solution to the squeak that some have complained about. The squeak originates in the sole of the shoe from the insole rubbing against the inside of the shoe itself. If you remove the insole and coat the bottom of it with a silicone lubricant like you can get at a hardware store or auto supply store, it will cease the squeak. All four of my pairs developed the squeak after a few days of wear. After spraying the bottom of the insoles 3 of them no longer squeak at all. The classic clogs still squeak, but I believe the issue with those is different. The squeak seems to originate on the top of the shoe where the leather strap rubs against the decorated cork top (they are the classic cork black pull up design). I don't know how long this fix lasts, but so far it's been a few weeks since I sprayed mine and they are still squeak free.
LOVE!!!!! These nursing shoes are the best for those long shifts! High quality material and my feet never hurt!
I've never had a pair of shoes, clogs or otherwise, that are this wide/fat, or "bulbous" might be the word I'm looking for. I struggle to find the correct adjective. They are a tad "clownish" if I'm honest. But if they allow me to be on my feet for several hours at a time that's perfectly fine. Don't misunderstand me, they are "cute". I got them to wear mostly around my home, a long rancher with all hardwood floors. I work at home and within a couple of hours my feet are screaming for relief. Just received these today and put them on immediately. Still comfy after about 2 hrs of getting up and down repeatedly from my sewing machine to the ironing board in an adjacent room. I'm a size 7 1/2 US and sized up to 8 as recommended. They fit perfect with thin socks, a little loose but not too much without socks. I don't think I've ever paid anywhere near $120 for a pair of shoes but I was desperate. Sure hope it turns out to be worth it! Unlike the majority of buyers here who work in the medical field, I am a full time pottery artist who must watch every penny I earn, and actually nurses are among my best customers! So because of you I'm able to afford to purchase these!
Okay first of all I usually wear seven to seven and a half in shoes I had to buy an 8 8 1/2 they run very small also I got the regular width I had to return them and get the wide width I'm a Night Nurse 12-hour shifts and my feet were killing me for the last 3 years. I tried every shoe imaginable. Finally I asked a co-worker that I noticed had multiple colors of these and they looked worn not bad but I could tell she had warn them for years so I asked her who made them. So glad I did zero foot pain. I've been wearing them for 3 weeks and I will never buy a different type of work shoe. I don't particularly like the look. But I like the fact that my feet are no longer in pain my toes literally used to go numb. And you'll notice that most sizes are sold out all over the United States that alone should tell you something I'm trying to buy some in a different color and I can't find anybody who has them in my size all sold out
