I own multiple Alegria shoes. This pair is supportive enough for me. I do need extra metatarsal support and I add it by adding pads. They look beautiful, I like the black leather look. They are wide enough for me. I can walk in them for majority of the day. They are functional quality shoes.
I wore these shoes running. Yes running. I did not realize I’d be partaking in a turkey trot and ran nearly two miles in these. It wasn’t a sprint and I ran slow, but I had zero pain and not one blister. Children and adults were overheard asking “how is she running?” They are soft leather and the color is gorgeous- and I love the dual Velcro straps. They give just the right amount of height and class to look like grown up Mary Janes.
Style , quality and comfort of item are highly recommendable. It’s just the size. I ordered 7.5 , order was printed correctly on inside heels but when worn , size was 1/2 inch larger . Thus , I requested just a replacement of exactly same order with size adjusted .
Very pretty looking shoe on and off. I've been looking for a backup for my aging Dansko Sally and these are it. They have a very similar look feel. Nice platform that gives 2.5 inches of height with only a 1 inch toe drop. Leather looks high quality, fit is true to size. Feels very comfortable to walk in (so far just in the house) and does not squeak or make random noises. Will go well with any outfit and for work/business.
So, I think I've tested these shoes pretty well, at first, you really have to "break in" these shoes to make it comfy and your feet to get accustomed to it, I did that on my 12hr shift at work and some little errands. But the greatest test was when I went to Kentucky for 3 days, worn these shoes walking in two parks - the creation museum and the Ark Encounter. The Ark Encounter was massive (510 ft x 85 ft wide, with 3 floors)..and we walked on all 3 floors, from one end to another in ONE day + the outside park, and honestly, wearing these (without socks) - (Pro) my ankles & calves did not hurt, I did not get blisters, my feet didn't get swollen... I was pretty impressed, though you really want to make sure it isn't too big/ too small when you buy, I think the size was pretty accurate for the normal shoe size that I get, I'm petite, so 5 - 5.5 was good. It's also easy to remove at TSA check in, with the velcro -it is pretty strong, & the soles has good grip, no matter what terrain (walked in blazing hot weather and on a rainy day- it got wet, but the color did not fade... my "con" would be that if you strap the velcro pretty tight/does not align, it can make a sound when you walk😅, but after a while it goes away. But honestly, this is a good buy👍.
I’ve never written an Amazon review before, but these shoes are one-in-a-million.I originally went to buy shoes for work from my local shoe store - a pair of Papillio cork wedges - but the one repeated complaint I saw online was that the sole separated from the cork wedge after a couple of months.These were offered as another option , online, if I also liked Pappilios. I decided to give them a try and was astonished at just how comfortable and cute they are. I’m on my feet 9-10 hours a day for work, and these feel amazing - no break in time required and adorable to boot. I can dress them up or down - jeans or jumpers or skirts. I’m so happy to have found them!
