My feet love these shoes - but recommend sizing up
This is the third pair of Allbirds Women's Wool Lounger Slip-On Sneakers that I have purchased over the past many years (since they came out). They are SO comfortable, but sizing up helps as they run slim. The Wool Lounger comes in whole sizes, and other reviews stated "size up" for comfort. I agree. My normal size in shoes of different brands is 9.5 or 9 wide, depending on the shape of the toe box and purpose of the shoe (running vs dress shoe, etc.). The Allbirds Women's Wool Lounger does not come in wide or half sizes, so I discovered after my first purchase to order the size 10 (basically up 1/2 size from my running shoes). The soft construction of the shoe will stretch in width to accommodate a wider foot to some degree, but sizing up helps for comfort or if you intend to wear socks. I use these Wool Loungers as house slippers, and rarely wear them outside if at all possible - but I wear them every day. The attached photos show the new Wool Loungers (dapple grey with cream sole) next to my 4-year-old Wool Loungers (natural grey with natural grey sole). The old Wool Loungers have been washed several times over the years (cold water wash with wool wash cleaner, and air dried), and insoles replaced with anything that works for me readily available from the drugstore. You can see some outside heel wear in the old shoes compared to the new shoes, but realize I have worn them EVERY day for years. The bottom of the soles are still quite good. I highly recommend this shoe for comfort and longevity, which makes it a bargain for the price. I will keep wearing the old ones (not retired yet) and replace the liners as needed. But it is really nice to have a new pair in a different color.
