I bought these boots more as a joke, since birhgt refelctive silver is never something I would normally buy. They were for a girls trip in Vegas and I thought they would work perfect. Silver Layer Rubbing Off After First Wear

I got these as a birthday gift to my 10-year-old daughter. When she opened the box and saw them, she was in love. She couldn't wait to wear them to school. Her feet are a size 8 and these fit true-to-size. The shoe came with a couple of small scuffs that made those parts of the silver layer look matte, but I figured it was no big deal because the scuffs weren't large or in a super noticeable place. The styling of these boots make your feet look really long in the front, but my daughter didn't care because silver boots are cool, lol.Upon returning home from school and wearing them for the first time, she reported that they didn't hurt at all. She didn't want to take them off. When I examined the boots, I realized they are not made well. My daughter is very careful with her stuff and doesn't rough up her shoes or clothes very fast. She tried her hardest to take really good care of her new favorite boots at school today, but they had a ton of creases everywhere, scuffs, and areas where the silver completely rubbed off. The silver color layer is very, very thin and rubbed off completely in two spots, revealing a white backing. The silver layer also looks a bit crinkly in some areas and has a bunch of scuffs where the shine is rubbed off. The finish on these boots is very fragile. She's had cheaper kid's shoes that have held up better. My daughter is pretty disappointed her new boots already look so beat up.
