REALLY confortable straight out of the box. Highly recommend as they balance ellegance and comfort better than most.Leather is supple, but supportive. I used a shoehorn most of the time to keep the heel part intact, but has enough support that it doesn't need it.Great shoe overall.
The Walnut color is beautiful, the shoes are well made and several strangers commented on them the first time I wore them out. VERY pleased with these. I wear a 12 or a 12.5 depending on the manufacturer and a size 12 fits perfectly. I usually go with Cole Haan dress shoes, but these are noticeably more comfortable. The shoebox that it comes in is legit too
I bought a pair of these shoes during Allen Edmonds' spring sale after doing an Amazon Prime Wardrobe try-on. I gradually broke them in over a month and started to wear them for extended periods of time. On a Sunday morning while standing in the line for communion at church, I started hearing a creaking sound coming from my right foot and it was my shoe every time I took a step. It eventually stopped but would continue off and on while I was out in public or at home.I sent the shoes back to Allen Edmonds and they told me I'll probably have to continue wearing them and it'll stop, but this is the first time I've ever had a problem with any Allen Edmonds shoe as a customer. This used to be one of the best brands of shoes when they were made in Wisconsin by skilled workers, but since it was purchased by a large corporation, the quality is going downhill and the classic styles are dying out.Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Love the shoes. Have another pair to assure correct sizing.
Too tight
I am usually a huge fan of Allen Edmonds. However, this purchase may have done me in for them ever again. Clearly, I received used shoes, sold as new. And, to spend hundreds on a pair of shoes and get this is an utter joke. The buckles didn’t even look the same. You failed miserably and may have lost a lifelong customer with this garbage you sent me and attempted to pass off as new.
