Suede Chukka Boots Nice Enough As Dress Shoes
These Alpine Swiss Elio chukka boots are for hubby who's very happy with them. He really likes the styling and padded comfort of the shoes.They are lightweight, low heeled shoes, good for travel. Although synthetic, they have a nice suede appearance. The shoe bottom soles have a sort of work boot style pattern. They are treated with waterproofing material but he doesn't want to put them to the test just yet and I'll update if they fail in the rain. The suede type material does pick up debris and it's best to have a suede brush handy for cleaning.The only negative about the shoes is that the insole padding is just a thin cushion without any support. Luckily, he keeps a supply of high arch insoles that took care of that issue quickly. He wears a size 10 wide and although the medium width shoes are a little narrow for his feet, he still was able to wear them comfortably during his two hour walk on paved neighborhood roads.Five stars for looks and comfort but minus one star for not including an extra pair high arch insole option when charging the higher price.
