Tactical chucks in cool M81 camo
My first pair or Altama Maritime boots. Really cool boot. Fits me true to size, however the insole is very sticky and these boots are not really meant for walking on asphalt and concrete all day. They're meant to do amphibious type of work. If you plan on using these for everyday non water use, buy some different insoles and buy a half size up. I also recommend the wides. I don't typically wear or tried wide sizing but they really make the toes less cramped. As the the boots... the color is true to M81 with more of a brown outsole and upper toe. Very cool pattern if you ask me, although unless you're wearing shorts, it'll be hard to notice by glancing. These are the low tops which look more like actual sneakers than boots. The "maritime" feature actually works. Wore to the beach and they're extremely grippy and expelled water extremely easily. Both the outsole and insole grip the terrain well and grip the inside of your socks/bare foot (depending on what you're wearing. They recommend being barefoot) and your foot definitely won't slip inside the shoe. It's so grippy inside it's noticeably harder to put your foot in the boot when wearing socks. These boots rock. I'll be buying more in other color ways, patterns and top lengths. I'm interested to see how well they hold up over time but the reviews I see online are pretty solid.
