Great shoe!
Great shoe for work! Non slip in all conditions and have lasted me over a year now. Very comfortable and lightweight. Shoes dry quick in wet conditions. Will be buying these again even mine give out but not sure when that will be since that still look fairly new even after a year of usage!

Well made, good value.
Only had these a week but already happy with the purchase. Bought them to wear while doing home improvements. Very well made. A little heavier duty than Converse Chuck Taylors, but in a good way. The water vents also help keep my feet from swimming in sweat during hot weather. My foot size is 10.5 EEEE. Weird, I know, but dems my feets. Took a chance on 11.5W and feels good. Slightly snug but still comfortable. I wouldn't be able to wear with thick winter socks but I got these for hot weather work anyway so it all works out well. I highly recommend. Plus they look cool AF.

Amazing product!
My job here in Hawaii involves being outdoors quite a bit, which means one thing: you're gonna get rained on. Wear waterproof shoes and they'll eventually fill up as the rain water pours down your legs. I've actually walked away from a workday with trench-foot before! Sure, you could wear waterproof boots, a heavy rain jacket, and rain pants, but all that'll do is make you rain sweat inside them, so you end up where you started.I did a lot of research before buying these. Trail runners simply aren't durable enough for the kind of work I do. So at first I focused on military jungle boots as I was wanting something that could be dual work/hike wear. Then I found these. The biggest selling point for me was the dual drainage vents on each shoe. Yes, your feet get wet, and as long as it's raining they stay wet. But they stay a lot LESS wet because the excess water quickly drains off. That's the whole point of a tropical shoe.I love the high durability materials used on these. As soon as you take them out of the box you can feel that these were made well.I love their low profile, everyday look. I used to wear Converse all the time. So big plus there. The biggest minus for me is that this style of shoe simply does not provide a lot of arch support, which my high arches need. The waterproof insoles, however, are removable. Thus, in their place are Currex High-arch Hiking Insoles. I wore them with the waterproof insoles a couple times, and they are much more comfortable than your old Chucks. They do get quite warm, however. I still carry them with me to switch out on especially rainy days as other insoles tend to retain water. Also, I've been wearing them for about a month now and I'm noticing the tread around the ball of my feet is starting to wear away. I'm guessing that's because these were designed for soil, not concrete. Still, it is a disappointment. I'm just hoping it takes a long time to wear away to the point that I can't use them anymore. I hope this is an issue Altama addresses moving forward, as durability is one of the main selling points for me on these.Overall, I give these five stars as they meet my needs so perfectly. I haven't gone hiking with them yet, but I'm planning on trying it. If they work well for me there, then I found me a perfect all-around everyday shoe. The next step for Altama should be to provide these in more than just military colors. I think there would be a strong market for these with people looking for a durable everyday shoe. I also know that a lot of military people would enjoy wearing a military "branded" shoe in their off time

Great shoes. Edited review. On my second pair.
First off, shoe sizes can be really confusing. I usually wear a 9.5 in Salomons, Merrill’s, Ariats, Steve Maddens, and Rockports. Some brand I have to up to a 10.5 though so go figure. That said, I went with a 10 in these and they fit perfect. They’re not overly aggressive in the tread which is a good thing for this shoe. It’s been ages since I wore anything like these so I notice now that my heel sits further down making me feel more flat footed. They feel very durable, as they should considering the materials used. The toe is pliable. The laces feel like a good quality and don’t slip after being tied.I bought these more so for everyday casual wear, day at the range, etc., but I can imagine they’d make a good exercise shoe also. I do wish they offered them in more colors. Like a dark grey. The best thing for me is they came in two days. I recently ordered from another high end “tactical” company that a lot of fan boys like. That particular company took 2 weeks to get an in stock item shipped to me. And when I tried to cancel they refused to because “the ball had already started rolling.” So a big thanks to this seller. I’ll be buying more in the future.Edit: Just bought my second pair and apparently someone upstairs reads the reviews because I was able to get these in grey. Absolutely love the shoe. The only reason I’m on my second pair is because they’re not fire proof.... shit happens though. 🤙🏻

High-quality sock killers
These "boots"/shoes are very well made, look nice, are very comfortable (unless you need a lot of arch support, these are pretty flat), and are a lot tougher and grippier than they look like they should be. They are also nice and light. The only downside I have noticed so far, however, is that my socks always seem to end up with new holes in them after wearing these shoes for a day. I don't know how or why. Maybe the soles require a sacrifice, it's hard to say. I haven't heard them chanting in Latin or setting candles out for any strange rituals, so I can't be certain. Maybe they just really love feet and don't want anything coming between them and those tasty little toes.Anyway, if you don't care about wearing socks, or plan on doing some hiking in wet environments, these will probably be fantastic. If you just found a pair of handmade socks from your dear late grandmother, I would look for something else.
