Most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn

I have been wearing these every day since 2-17-23. Two walks daily, and for most of the rest of the day. They are the lightest shoe I’ve ever worn, and the most comfortable, from day 1. They have substantial room in the toe box, which is a must for me, because my big toes turn up at the ends, and this has become worse as I get older. The soles are well cushioned, and this, combined with the the fact that these shows weigh next to nothing, is better than orgasm. Just wait until you’re older, you’ll understand. The only concern I had, was will they last. The answer is yes! They have lasted through DAILY usage, for 4 months! Did I mention they are cute! They are! Please, Altra, never stop making these!

Amazing shoes

I am very impressed with these shoes. They are extremely comfortable and fit true to size. They have a spacious toe box and fit like a glove right out of the box. They are made of a stretchy knit material. They are also zero drop. If you’re looking for very supportive shoes with a lot of cushion, I wouldn’t recommend these. But so far I have used these for a variety of workouts and they are great. Again, not super stable if that’s what you’re looking for. But I highly recommend

My Go-To Zero-Drop Running Shoe

I’ve been wearing Altra Escalante running shoes for several years now, and they’ve become my go-to choice for zero-drop shoes. I used to run in barefoot-style shoes like Vibrams but eventually wanted something with a bit more cushioning and support. The Escalantes strike a great balance—they’re lightweight, extremely comfortable, and they hold up well. I typically get around 400-500 miles out of each pair before needing a replacement. The only downside is that Altra releases a new version every year or two. While the updates are usually minor, I’ve liked each version so far. However, they can be pretty expensive, especially when the latest model comes out. Despite that, I keep coming back to them because they consistently deliver the comfort and performance I’m looking for.

Perfect Tennis Shoe

I have a relatively small foot (5.5) & have a hard time finding shoes that fit. Not only is my foot small but narrow. Most shoe manufacturers think that all women wear a sz 6 or larger so when I found a tennis shoe that offered sizes smaller than 6 I was very happy. I've had bunion surgery on both feet & am careful to wear shoes that won't aggravate my feet. So this shoe which is comfortable & has a big "toe well" is perfect for me. Lots of cushioning & support.

Soft and so comfy

I have literally been living in crocs for 3 or 4 months. My feet are so painful. I have wasted so much money on shoes. Tried so many. Skethers are a joke. Hate the really thick souled sneakers. So many others are cheaply made and hard materials. Also run so narrow. These shoes are great. Plenty of toe room for my arthritic feet. Soft and comfortable. Love that my weight is not on the ball of my foot. My worst pain there. I have wore these for a week. Slight break in the first day. I will be ordering another pair. True to size!

Comfortable shoe that allows for good stability through the ball of your foot

Cons:Since the ball/toe of the shoe isn't tapered like traditional tennis shoes, the shoe actually feels a bit large on my foot, but it also feels like it fits in length. So I am not sure that I would size down, but I would recommend trying on a pair before ordering. It is very comfortable but when I was doing burpees, they kept coming off (easy fix... I just stopped doing the stupid burpees in class haha). They don't have a ton of arch support or a super thick insole... this isn't necessarily a horrible thing, but as I am getting older my joints (especially knees) needs as much shock absorption as possible, but still very comfortable.I am slightly pigeon-toed and the shape of the front of these shoes makes it very, very obvious.Pros:These shoes are some of the most comfortable, versatile tennis shoes I have ever worn... and I have a ton of different brands and types of high-end wrokout/running shoes. The wide toe allows a more natural movement of your foot, giving you better balance and stability. The shoe is super lightweight, but good quality. I take a "xtreme" step class, which is full of crazy, fast moves, which requires a person to be light on their feet and some shoes feel like bricks on your feet, but the feel almost as if you were not wearing shoes at all.The shoes have pretty decent traction yet are still pretty flexible.Probably my favorite all around shoe for working out. Just ordered my second pair.

Finally the perfect shoe

These were comfortable right out of the box. I have wide feet with high arches and narrow heels, have tried on a ton of shoes as a beginner runner. These hug your feet without squeezing the top, toes have lots of room and the sole is adequately cushioned without feeling like you are balancing on pillow platforms. Prevents my ankles from rolling outwards. Very lightweight. I've been using 3x week short runs and have been pain free finally!
