Took some getting used to.
Shoes are cute and very comfortable. I’m a runner and a massage therapist so I’m on my feet all day bending and squatting for literally 7-8 hours a day. The zero drop took no getting used to. However the guard rail by the heel did. At first it really rubbed on my heel. My first day wearing them my feet were achy and my heels felt raw. Day two much more comfortable but still can feel the guard rail. I’ve never had a shoe take so long to break in. Having said that I love the shoes and will definitely be a repeat customer. My ankle often aches from over pronating and that is gone when I wear these. I could even walk around barefoot after work and that never happens. Protecting the integrity and structure of my foot is very important to me and so worth a few days of discomfort while I’m breaking in the shoes. My only dislike is the look of the toe box but it’s not a deal breaker. I have a normal width foot and these fit great. Perhaps narrow feet wouldn’t work with these shoes. I wear a 9.5 and these definitely fit true to size. Perhaps even tiiiiiny bit large for size. Update: not a deal breaker but these shoes do make a lot of noise when you walk. Attached is a video of it. On tile it’s pretty bad.Update 2: The squeak is gone. The top of the toe box does indent a little and put pressure on my toenails. That might annoy some people especially if you’re a distance runner. I still love the shoes. I’ll include a pic of this.

Great Shoe For Pain! Wish they made slippers!!!
My husband has worn Altra’s for as long as I can remember, and after complaining to him about shin splints and IT Band pain, he suggested I research a pair of Altra’s to help with my specific issues. I’m so glad I did! I’ve been suffering for so long for no reason. These really do help with the pain- I just got them yesterday and have already been 10 miles in them. No shin or IT pain! They have a thick sole which is wonderful and cushioned and I can tell the shoe helps to guide my body into correct placement. I have flat feet to they really are helping and I did NOT put in my custom orthotics.To address a few issues I’ve read from others:Sizing- I’m usually a 7.5. I bought this in both a 7.5 and an 8 to compare and I sent the 8’s back. I can see why if you have wide feet people say to order a size up, I do not have wide feet, I’d say I’m on the narrow side even with flat feet.The squeak- yes they make a sound while walking, (the alignment technology on the bottom that guides you to correct placement) however, I think the more you wear them and they mold to your feet that will stop. I didn’t feel they were as noisy today as yesterday.The arch support: just like custom orthotics, take your time wearing them so to not cause discomfort. I didn’t find it to hurt or irritate, I just notice that they help my feet!Honestly, I will buy these again and I wish they made slippers because I want to wear them around the house because I just feel better in them! (My fur baby likes them too! 😘)

Wide enough but a little short on top
So shoes that fit well can be a huge to pain to find. I don’t have a super wide foot but need a wider toe box to keep my toes from getting blisters. These shoes do have a wider toe box which I love, and they’re cute and comfortable and reasonably priced. However- I do feel like they are not quite high enough- meaning the tops of my toes hit the top of the inside of the shoe and it is uncomfortable. This is my first time trying this brand, so maybe another style of shoe from this brand wouldn’t have this problem, but sometimes I feel like I just can’t win! Finally a big toe box but not high enough. I guess I’ll continue looking.

Very Comfortable Shoe!
I typically purchase the Escalante, but really wanted a shoe with more heel cushioning. The Provision 6 provides that. The shoe is very comfortable, I like the wide toe box and haven’t really found this in other brands. If you want a quiet shoe, this is not it. The bottom of the shoe has tremendous grip on hard surfaces, but it squeaks a lot. Hopefully this will subside over time as it wears down. In the interim, if I want to sneak up on someone, I will not be wearing these shoes! Over all it is a really good shoe. I have no qualms about recommending them.

Narrow and short compared to early models
I was an Altra early adopter since I had a foot injury. Unfortunately, the more recent models just don't fit. They made them narrower and shorter. I know part of the reason is that they were bought out by a larger company who thinks they know better than the original company. They now have 3 different widths across their many shoe styles. But for those of us who would like that extra support, moving up to a larger size doesn't always solve problems in the exact same way. Whatever. I keep giving it a shot. I can't abandon them because they have the awesome wide toe box and zero drop which not everyone has.

Better than my Hokas!
These are THE BEST sneakers I have ever owned and I spend a lot of money on good sneakers. I have had several surgeries and have gait issues. These do not rub anywhere, super cozy and supportive insole and wide toe box for spreading out. Love them!!
