Super light hiking boots

These are some of the best hiking shoes I have ever owned. Unbelievably light and good ankle support.

Comfortable

Good room in toe box which is why I selected these boots. Cushion good so far on a few 3-4 mile hikes.

Tight in the midfoot

I can’t even wear these. They fit in length and should fit everywhere else but they are so narrow in the top of the foot to the knuckle that meets the toes that I can’t attempt to break them in. I love my lone peaks but needed more support at the ankle after an injury. Hopefully, Altra will help out

Only water resistant.

Some of the best and most comfortable hiking boots I’ve ever had. The only down side is there not water proof although I believe they are water resistants. I wish this company would make a winter hiking boot.

Tight Across the Instep!

This is my 6th pair of Altras, but first for this particular model, and am very disappointed. As others have mentioned, they are VERY tight across the instep at the base of the laces. All my other Altra's fit great, but not this one. Will be returning.

Extremely narrow at ball of feet

I'm an Altra fan and own several pairs of their shoes. Thought I'd try the Timp due to the vibram sole but it is surprisingly and painfully narrow at the ball of my feet. Literally had to push my feet in past that point of the shoe. Unfortunately, had to return them. Will try the Lone Peak Hiker 2 next and see if the sole is not slippy on wet surfaces.
