These fit very well and were comfortable the second I put them on. Most shoes out there have to narrow of a toe box which will eventually damage your feet. I have been struggling with feet issues, these boots help. These are flexible like an athletic shoe so if you want a sturdier boot look else where.
I usually wear a 10.5 wide but a 12 on in this one. So they run a bit smaller in length but wider only in the forefoot. When I’m traveling abroad I often walk 10-20 miles in a day. That being said, the cushion is good but not Skechers level cushioning. I solved that by adding a thin insole under the one that comes in these.

These shoes have a proportionally wide toe box but they are not a wide shoe. I normally wear a men's 10 Wide and had these shoes suggested by a podiatrist for Morton's Neuroma. Altra doesn't make men's wide ,they assume the toe box is the only wide part of a foot. The rest of the shoe, mid foot and heel is normal width and will eventually squeeze your wide foot and cause discomfort. I had worn my shoes outside for one half hour walk and that was all it took to know the shoes were squeezing the rest of my foot. So now they are for sale used on Facebook Marketplace 🙄
Let me first say that i have been very happy with the Altra running shoes I have had. My wife and I currently have several pairs.For that very reason, I took a chance on these very expensive hiking boots.we had a very busy summer so I did not even try these boots on until after the return window closed. I was not concerned sense I had several pairs of Altras in same size.when i finally tried these on, they fit perfectly and felt good.The problem became apparent after about 2 minutes of walking: the top 2 lace grommets are very rigid and seem to push through the light material of the boot.this quickly causes extreme discomfort and chaffing on skin around ankle.I had my wife and others try these on to make sure it was not a problem with my foot. All experienced the same discomfort. I even tried moleskin under my sock but grommets still rubbed uncomfortably.I explained as thoroughly as possible to Altra customer service and was denied any exchange or refund.They say they offer a 1 year warranty.these shoes still look brand new.I spent $185 on these shoes. I’m surprised that Altra would sell shoes with this defect. I’m even more surprised to learn that they do not appear to stand behind their products. Choosing to hide behind loopholes because shoes were purchased from Amazon. I will probably file a complaint with Amazon regarding this experience as well.
These are amazing! Crazy I have to spend so much for comfortable shoes these days but so worth it. I've tried all the brands and various sneakers, train runners, and work boots. These are the best shoe purchase ive ever made.
Great product love the white toe box but when I got this shoe it was actually a dark green and not black. Not suitable for work but I was hoping to wear this boot
