Pretty much perfect!
This is one of the best pairs of running / walking shoes I've ever owned. The unique shape of Altra's shoes works really well for my feet as I have wide toes but a narrow heel. With most shoes, I usually end up either getting blisters on my heels or wearing my toes out of the side of the shoes - Altra's shoes fit my feet well, are comfortable, and don't wear out a month in from rubbing my toes on the sides.This is the first time I've ever seen a higher support shoe from Altra, and I'm very glad I found them. I've enjoyed their trail running shoes before, but they are very low support. I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis and have needed more support than the trail running shoes provide, and these were the perfect result. My current pair has already lasted many miles, and I fully expect to buy another pair as soon as they wear out.

Great shoes for my foot shape!
These are a dream for me! Nice wide toe box without a wide heel. My toes spread very wide and my heels are narrow (my feet are shaped a lot like a flipper). Every pair of running shoes I have ever had has made my outside toes go to sleep and/or hurt. These let my toes spread out, not just improving balance, but allowing my feet to be in their natural state, not smooshed. Heels don't slip. Cushioning and arch support are perfect for me. Can't say enough good. They do run a little short. Paying attention to the size chart and reviews is important for this brand. I had to return the first pair I ordered in my usual size and order a size up. Great buy for the price and great shoe!!

I love my altras!
I’m a size 6.5 in my left foot, and 6 on my right. These fit both feet just fine! I think the maximalist outsole is softer than I expected initially, but it’s such a supportive shoe to begin with i find no issues with running in them (so far!) this is my second pair of paradigms and my fourth pair of Altras. The shoe is a little more narrow than the torins and olympus, but is so much more cushier than the torins if you prefer a shoe with a thicker outsole for more support.

Love the shoe but I had to size up
When when I first got the shoe it was very tight. I could tell it was very comfortable shoe just too tight so I sized up a half a size and they were perfect!I usually wear Torins but I've had to find a new shoe because the Torin 5 & 6 are so awful! The cushioning in the Paradigm 6 reminds me a little of the cushioning in the Torin 4.5s. I usually wear a 9.5 in women's but I had to size up to a 10 in the Paradigm 6. Sizing up also gave me a little more room in the toe box which was great seeing as how Altra is not making running shoes in their original foot shape anymore only in standard. For the life of me I don't understand why companies must fix what is not broken and end up with an inferior product as a result. The original foot shape should be optional in all of their shoes! It's why a lot of us became dedicated Altra wearers in the first place!!!!!!!!!!
