Did not fit my wide foot

They did not fit, and this was surprising. I love my Altra running shoes. The toebox fits my foot and they are really comfortable. So when I tried these on, I really wanted to like them, and expected them to fit really well. But I could not get them on easily--I'm thinking that the Gore-tex liner that makes them waterproof is what is constricting the middle of this shoe. The toebox would have fit, but I could barely even slide them on because of this constrictive middle part of the shoe.I didn't want to take too many stars, since I'm sure that someone with the right feet might really enjoy these, but there are also plenty of people with wide feet that will be disappointed. My old boots also have Gore-tex for waterproofing, so it can be done well.

Hiked Mt. Fuji

Hiked Mt. Fuji with these boots and they worked really well. Did have to break them in for a few weeks because they rubbed on the inside of my ankles on both my feet and left small bruises. This eventually faded but definitely took some time to wear in. However, it was pouring rain on the side of the mountain so I can confirm they are waterproof.
