Bought these for my Italian vacation because I knew I was going to be walking a lot. They went beyond my expectations! Super comfortable! Little to no break in time! I did go up half size and they’re perfect. I’d say they would be great for those with wide feet. Mine aren’t, but they still fit well. Highly recommend!
I normally buy Altra shoes size 9, this shoe was too short. I was surprised. Overall, the quality was good.
This is my 5th pair, never had issues but this pair is FAULTY and has defects, barely worn! You can see the shoes are like new. Paid over $150 for these and defective rubber began peeling off with hardly any wear at all - I wrote to amazon seller, and they were nice and responsive but ALTRA said they would open a trouble ticket and then never responded, I am FRUSTRATED. I know I bought these a while ago but I barely wore them. NEVER HAD ISSUE with any other Altra's - EXCHANGE THESE PLEASE !!! I nearly tripped and fell down stairs as the rubber is peeled and caught on a wood floor and nearly sent me FLYING - its a dangerous thing!
I have lots of feet problems. It is extremely difficult for me to find comfortable shoes. These are the only shoes I own that I can walk in and wear all day.
Just purchased these in June and they fit well, but the tread has started to separate. I purchased these with hope they would be good for my issues with a neuroma, and they do have plenty of room for my special inserts. I wear them for shopping and taking the dogs for walks, so nothing too hard to cause this separation but it’s happening on both shoes.
This is the second pair of these shoes I’ve purchased. They are light weight, with a wide toe box, that makes them extremely comfortable. Of note, I had to buy a half size larger than I normally do so my big toe had room in the front. I highly recommend these for people who need shoes with cushioning for their feet and knees when they are out walking.
I’ve been an avid Altra user for years. Specifically, I’ve loved the Torin. The new Torin 5 & Torin 5 Luxe have a great sole/foot pad but the tongue is like razor blades. The regular Torin 5 cut my ankles like nothing else. The Luxe looks like it’ll be a softer tongue but it has this top area that hits higher & is still so stiff it cuts you up. I’m hoping Altra goes back to the tongues that have worked for years. Until then, I’ve moved into Escalantes for sprint work & Providions for distance. Though the Provisions aren’t zero drop like the Torins….
