Best running shoe ever
I bought this shoes for my runner wife. She has wide feet with a bunion on one foot making finding a perfect shoe difficult. She is a forefoot runner, running 35-40 miles a week. The shoe has half carbon plate which gives it a springy feel but because of the nice cushioning it is not stiff at all underfoot. She commented that it is one of the best shoes she had for a long time. Its ride is smooth and effortless. It is true to size. Just as a small minus, she says the tongue is a bit hassle to adjust to sit in the middle but it is not bad.

Great running shoe!
I was skeptical at first because the heel portion is thin compared to a typical running shoe but they actually felt great to run in. I just used the runners lace to keep the shoe in place. I typically wear the Altra Olympus but wanted a lighter shoe. Love Altra!

Great shoe, Just not lasting
To start, I really do love these shoes. Purchased in April 2024. I have put only 165 miles on them. I understand they were not meant to be an everyday running shoe but more of a racing shoe but they are perfect for my longer road runs. I love the fit and feel, the bounce and cushion they give. I mainly run on country gravel paved roads so not perfectly smooth. If I do trail runs, I run in an Altra trail shoe. Debating buying another pair because I love them so much or trying to find something a bit more durable.

Falls apart within months of purchase
I would give these shoes no stars if I could. I run about 10 miles a week, max, and they are already falling apart after 5 months of use. The shoelace broke the eyelet and the sole is gone. My last pair of altras lasted 2.5 years. These didn't even make it through one summer. Altra says they have a 1 year warranty but they refuse to honor it.

Bought for wife. She loves the toe room
I have an older pair of Altra shoes I wear at my job. I stand or walk pretty much the entire 8 hours. The shoes are actually for athletic use, but function well in the capacity I use them. They are foot-shaped. You'd think all shoes would be foot shaped, but no. Not many are. I purchased these for my wife, as she has some bunion problems. These do not irritate her feet at all. She likes the comfort level. Since the shoes are zero drop as well (no heel lift), her low back feels better. Winter set in just after these arrived, so she has worn them only about 10 times on longer walks.

The toe shape actually fits real toes!!
The longest part of the shoe is actually where my longest toe actually is (second toe) and therefore my toes aren't squished like they usually are. The toe shape in almost all women's shoes, including athletic shoes, is a V shape with the longest part over the third toe which is usually not the longest toe. They are so wonderfully comfortable.
