I really like these shoes. Not as much cushion as the via Olympus which is what I wanted,but the same awesome toebox. Zero drop and light weight. These shoes help with my balance. The cushion is nice and my feet feel supported. Some days I add arch support because my foot wants it other days I don't. Great traction too.
My wife has a issue with a toe joint causing some walking difficulties. Her foot Dr suggested this brand with a 4mm to 0mm drop. She went to a shoe store and tried some on. The shoe is a little wider in toe area making it more comfortable for toes, and it was recommended to order a half size bigger.The 0mm drop shoe felt most comfortable with best support for her to walk in, but they did not have color she wanted. We then ordered the shoes from Amazon and received them in a few days. She can now take walks without pain.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these tennis shoes! This pair of tennis are the fifth pair I have bought of this brand and style. I wear them all day to exercise and run errands. My feet never ache. I wore Brooks GT for the past 15 years but these tennis are far superior and are worth the price.
I have been a supportive customer for women’s altras for years. I bought into the wide toe box and superior qualities put into the shoes. My go to shoes have been the Olympus trail shoes and the Paradigm running shoe. After the Paradigm 4 and 5 it’s been nothing but disappointment. The support is weaker and altra has given up on the wide toe box feature. I purchased the Paradigm 8 in hopes that there has been improvement. That is a big NO. Wide toe box, barely. Firm support, average. And then I pull out the shoe insert to find that it’s nothing more than a thin piece of foam. I had to replace the insert with a pair of inserts from another shoe. What a disappointment altogether in how Altra has turned its shoe into nothing more that what you’d find at a local variety store.
I love these shoes. I started with the Torin 8s and prefer these as they give a little more cushion and support. I work on concrete floors all day and have some pretty severe knee, hip, lower back, and abdominal pain in daily life. These have helped tremendously. The only downside for me is how slippery they are. I’m not sure why, but they are remarkably slippery if the floor is even a bit wet. I would still recommend. I’ve gotten two pairs now and I’m not interested in any of my other tennis shoes.
Very comfortable with a bouncy feel. Not as high stack as said. Wide toe box allows toes to splay compares to Hoka bondi
Received my order and got a used one by paying $150+. Totally unacceptable!!!
