Most comfortable running shoe
Love the style and color options the best part is how comfortable they are. Great quality very durable use for daily wear. Lots of room for toes. The wide toe box is a game changer. Barefoot feel with more support and cushion. Very breathable.

Everything I was looking for.
I needed toe space, cushion, traction and stability and i got all of that with this shoe. I use the altra lone peak 6 to hike in the Everglades and so I tried altra again. I have foot issues where my feet lose circulation easily and the toes in my right foot cramp and lock if I move my foot a certain way or wear tight shoe/socks.Let me say, I walked through Greek ruins with these, Colorado hiking and inclines and I can say I am thoroughly impressed. They are comfortable, spacious and gripping. I’m so glad I went with these. The price is great, shoes are light weight and it offers great support. Colors weren’t my fave, but I’m more a function over fashion girly anyway.

Solid Altra shoe
These are Altras, so if you're looking you probably know about the zero-drop and wide toe box. I like the look of these, but they're like Blizzacks - the winter tire. And this makes them super noisy on my treadmill. I won't downgrade them for that, but you should know. The toe box is a tiny bit more narrow than my Superior 5s, but there's no toe box bigger than those! Including Superior 6 if you read those reviews. They're cushy, pretty comfortable, and the color is not too girly (I'm prior military, not really into pink). 5 stars with an * for treadmill noise

Best running shoes I’ve ever owned!
I bought a pair of altra trail sneakers in the beginning of spring and loved them. I was due for a new pair of running shoes and usually buy saucony’s but wanted to try the altra’s instead because I loved their trail sneakers so much. Wow, what an amazing shoe! Love the wide toe box, stability, weight, durability, flexibility and grip. I typically run 9-12 miles a week and needed a good sneaker that was comfortable! These are it! The only down fall of this sneaker is the insole. It’s a bit tight around the heal. I took the insoles out and put my other insoles in from my saucony’s and they fit great! Highly recommended this sneaker!

No more plantar fasciitis problems
I changed my foot wear and bought two pairs of Altra. I love this pair. I walked many miles a day while traveling and my plantar problem did not return. Extremely comfortable without looking bulky. I also bought another Altra model that was more of a barefoot style (less thick sole) and these are not as comfortable and I think I would return to foot problems if I wore them a lot. The provision style is excellent. And I later found out that my daughter runs ultra marathons in Altras so I think it must be a good quality brand. I love the room for my toes while the mid foot and heel are sufficiently narrow.

Run small, Not very wide, toe box narrower than expected
I am a true 8.5 wide when measured by a professional, and that is the size I typically buy for athletic shoes. I typically wear zero drop minimalist style shoes with massive toe boxes to allow for a lot of splay, but I recently took up running and needed something with more cushion to absorb some of the shock, even though I’m used to barefoot and minimalist shoes for walking. Gave these a shot. These are too cushioned for my liking. I feel unstable. And they are quite narrow all over. I tried an 8.5 and a 9 and would have to go with the 9. It’s still too narrow. The toe box is better than most conventional shoes, but isn’t roomy enough to allow for splay. It’s also quite tight around the bunion area, the widest part of the foot. The other thing is they make me feel like they turn my ankles in and feel unstable. They also are terribly squeeky walking across hard floor. It’s definitely caused by all the little ridges on the sole. It’s an annoying sound. Not that I’ll be wearing them around the house much. The right heel seems to sink down lower than the left and the outer edge of the heel seems too hard and stiff, putting uncomfortable pressure on my heel. I know I’m just used to something far more minimalist, but Honestly, just an all around uncomfortable shoe. If your feet are wide, skip these. If you want a lot of room for toe splay, skip these. The toe box just isn’t that wide. You’ll need to size up at least half a size.

Great hiking/walking shoes.
I have narrow feet with high arches so I didn’t think I would like the fit of these shoes. They are great! Fit through the heel and instep is narrow enough and my toes love all the room in the toe box. Great hiking/walking shoes!
