I just received these and tried them on. They are soft and comfortable from the start. The straps are a bit looser around the ankle area and form fitting at the top. Definitely for an average sized calf. I can't wait to wear them out.

Bought theses sandals for my niece. She l9ved them.
The comments are correct about the fit. I wear a 7 but had to get a 7.5. It fit snug at the calf. The 2 warnings: the plastic stitching at the top. It rubbed my skin raw due to being sharp. I ended up covering it with hot glue to make it comfortable. 2nd - the soles are slippery and no traction. I fell once and slipped numerous times. I had to add no slip soles on the bottom. But it looked great with my cosplay.
I love, love, love these sandals. They're a decent quality, the material is a soft faux leather, they're comfortable, and very wearable. I get compliments everywhere I go in these sandals. They're big leg friendly. I have small legs so I had to alter them with studded string I ordered from Amazon. They came out amazing!
