Love these boots!
I seldom write reviews, but for these boots, I'm making an exception. I bought the brown suede and they are comfortable beyond words. As a bonus, they make my feet look tiny and cute. My feet have been my nemesis for years and it's very hard to get comfortable shoes with the right amount of support. However, when I have these boots on it is literally like having bedroom slippers on. The soles cradle my feet (the feeling took a little getting used to) and provide an amazing amount of support. The uppers are a stretchy fabric that looks like suede. I couldn't imaging that fabric would give my feet and ankles enough support, but it does. Sounds crazy and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't ordered these boots (on a whim, actually) and took them on a recent trip to Alaska. I thought they would be alright to wear around hotels and nearby shops, but I wore them almost everywhere I went including hiking! They saw a lot of miles out in the wilderness and they still look good and feel good. When we got back home, I immediately ordered another pair in red. These will definitely be my "go to" boots for as long as I can get them.

Beautiful -- but the arch support is too high for me
I'm heartbroken! This is a very cute boot in a rich, deep purple shade (my favorite). The length was correct for me, even the toes were comfortable and that's where I have problems. BUT the arch support that so many customers reviewing like was far too big for me. I would not have been able to wear these comfortably at all. If you use orthotics that supply high arch support, these just might be perfect for you with no additional insert. Orthotics (and I've paid for many) have always hurt my feet. If you're good with them, again -- this is the stylish boot for you. I hope the manufacturer sees this and maybe releases a slightly differently engineered boot for women like me. (Only 4 stars because of the too large arch support.)

Great Ankle Boots
I've had these ankle boots in black suede for a year or so and love them. They are so comfortable, especially for me since I have bunions and they don't rub at all and have good arch support if you need that.. I also have a pair of the red arcopedico in the L19 style that I love as well. I saw the navy suede and had to order them. I'm going to get a lot of wear out of them I know. I would recommend spraying the suede with a protective coating to keep them from getting stains and water marks (just in case). They are NOT waterproof, but if you have sprayed them and happen to get caught in the rain it will help. I highly recommend.

defective - can't wear
The top interior of the left boot zipper is very rough and broke the skin on my leg creating a small wound. I had ordered way back in 2022 as backups to my previous pair of arcopedico black boots but had not worn until Nov of 2024 when I wore them to an all day event out of town with lots of walking.There's no way to return these through Amazon and I don't think they can be repaired easily.Really like Arcopedico boots and have 5 pairs - super comfortable.

Love Arcopedico shoes!
I have other Arcopedico shoes and boots in a size 40, and I am a US 8.5. I purchased these boots in a 40 and they fit just fine. If you are an 8.5-9.0, you should definitely order a 40. These boots have a different insert than the L19 boot - it has a weird bump right in the arch. I had to get a gel insole to replace the one that came with the boot because the bump hit me in the wrong place and was quite annoying. These are vegan, lightweight and very comfortable. Not for everyone though because the sole is quite firm and not very padded. If you need a lot of padding in the heel or ball of your foot, you may not find these comfortable to wear all day.
