It's perfect I work in a machine shop. The shoes are nice and comfortable I don't have to tie them just slip them all and go I have no no complaints whatsoever.
Kind of expensive.Inside of the Heel hasn't held up as well as I'd like, showed lots of wear in 6 months.I wear these almost every day, I walk 2-4+ miles working daily. The rest of the shoe still looks great.
I got this for my fiancé after convincing him that low-quality work shoes cost more in the long run. This is his first pair of nicer shoes, and he really liked how they felt as soon as he had tried them on. I would ask every now and then if he had broken them in and whether they felt good while he worked, and so far he has only given me positive comments. He likes that they look smart enough to wear when he wants a more smart casual look, yet supports and protects his feet enough when he works. They fit well and seem to be able to stand the rigours of work. As his previous work shoes all had laces, one of his favourite features of this pair is how he simply slips them on in the morning without the hassle of laces. It's been slightly over a month and he has had no complaints so far.
These are very nice and comfortable shoes. I purchased a set in October but by January the inner heal on both shoes began to roll inwards creating a rubbing point on both inner heals. Past return time so im stuck with a poor product to throw in the trash. These shoes are WAY too expensive to fail after 90 days of light use.
🤔Get this shoe a size bigger. If you don't, the top of your foot where the tongue is will be too tight and will not be comfortable at all. 😳I decided to cut the elastic part to create more room, but this was a bad idea. 😮I cut both sides of the elastic on both shoes just to find out the she is flopping off now and this really not good. 😯So I messed this shoe up and will only use it for yard work now.☹ I did order another pair a size bigger and it feels soooooo good!!!😃😎
Original title: “High quality, give them time to break-in.12W Initial fit wasn't great; felt odd around the toe-box. Which was odd because it is a square toe. But my pinky toes were crowded. My standard is Rockport (also 12W). Broke in later. All-in-all a great premium outdoor loafer.I wanted a bit more ruggedness than my many Rockport "city" loafers without getting a real hiking boot. My equestrian wife & many friends love all their Ariat gear. The material quality and construction is excellent as expected, styling also tasteful, not shouting "outdoor!". Can wear into town with a light cleaning.Update after long-term use and change of title with loss of star. You will want to add insole inserts. There is a large cross shape of slightly raised dual-edge stitching spanning the insole in the toe box. I discovered why my foot soles were getting calloused when I found that my wool socks had worn through on both feet at the same spot after a long work day. Now I’m un ure how this passed design review at Ariat, as this result was inevitable. The odd feeling around the toe box edge has been traced to the composite insert. While rugged, and has saved my toes from horse hooves and dropped hammers, they intrude into the toe box. My (larger toe box) work boots don’t have this issue. Again, a design compromise that hasn’t worked out.Taking away a star as I’m wearing them less and less due to these discomforts. Still look nice on the outside; okay for light walking from the parking lot into the restaurant, obviating the need for a composite toe. Unless a waiter drops a full pepper grinder on your foot. Also, I very much enjoy that the finish is raw leather and not suede, which seems ubiquitous in this shoe type unless it's a full above ankle lace-up workboot or cowboy pull-on. I spilled some paint on them and was able to clean-up (not completely dried paint) with saddle soap and scotch pad. There are several seams which required some attention. No discoloration when done, though. I'll likely treat with saddle oil which will darken the brown to my experience with horse tack & belts--but that's okay with me.Seven weeks later and the shoe is broken-in, doesn't feel weird around the toe box anymore. Don't recall exactly when that happened--maybe a month of weekend wear. They're now my every time "anytime off-pavement, yard or park trail" shoes.
I bought these for work and have been very pleased with the durability and especially the comfort. You can simply slide your foot in/out easily when putting them on or taking them off. They aren’t as heavy as steel toes and feel secure on my feet.I like how they are more casual looking than most work shoes so you can wear them home or other places after work. I have had two pairs of these so far and still wear both.
