Good work boots
Best work boots I've ever owned. They take a little while to fully break in and can be somewhat painful during break in. But once broke in, they fit like no other boot I've ever worn.

Best work boots I've ever owned. They take a little while to fully break in and can be somewhat painful during break in. But once broke in, they fit like no other boot I've ever worn.
Just so we’re comparing apples to apples. I am a greater by trade. I’m in dirt, lime, cement, loose soil mud and constantly up and down slopes. I do not prefer to wear this boot when I’m operating heavy equipment but that is to be expected. This boot is fairly heavy and quite warm for the summer. Those would be the only two cons. The breaking time is fairly long as well but with some oil and conditioner it helps speed the process up. Other than that this boot is extremely durable safe and high-quality leather. The toe protection makes it great for somebody who is constantly kneeling. Great choice for long lasting, high quality, that is comfortable even after 14hrs.
Only thing that would have made these better FOR ME is the old school tassels, timberland makes a comparable boot that lasted me bout a year and a half, so we will see how long these last , but so far they are extremely comfortable!!!!!! Dont feel so bad bout the 240$ they cost me
These boots are really shaping up to be great, even though I had my reservations at the start. When I first tried on these boots, I liked them a lot. Good space in the toe box, nice fit in the width and a snug heel. BUT on break in, there is the most brutal seam on the tongue of the boot. The met two pieces of the boot in the lower third of the tongue, which lies directly on the ball of my ankle. I won't lie, I really wanted to email Ariat and bitch about this. It led to quite a bit of pain for a week and a half of daily +10hr work days. HOWEVER, it is now completely gone. the seam no longer is a severe pressure point. The waterproofness of these boots is holding up well so far. I am a Golf Course Superintendent and believe there is nobody that tortures boots as much as we do. After an initial oil treatment to make sure the leather was well protected, they have held up well in the rain, dealing with pumping bunkers out, and walking through heavy dew, they have still not gotten let any wetness in at all. The true test will be if they hold up more than a year, which boots hardly do for people in my profession. Also, I was surprised by the provided insoles. they actually give good arch support. I still threw in a true custom insole (not superfeet or anything you get at a drug store) and they really work well with these boots.Overall, after a month of daily wear, I can say that I highly recommend these boots.
I've been doing landscaping work for over 20 years. I've gone through many pairs of boots in that time and these are the most solidly built pair of boots I've ever owned. The sole of these is so durable and so thick, that your ankles will never roll and more importantly for me, I can kick the hell out of anything when I'm doing demo work and I don't feel the shock of it in my feet. They are a bit heavy, but that's because they're so solid. They are also more waterproof than any other pair of work boots I've owned. Yes, basically all work boots SAY they're waterproof, but these really do keep the water out when I'm doing sprinkler work, even now that my current pair is old and almost worn out. Usually work boots don't quite make a full year for me. With these, I'm wearing them for nearly two.My ONE complaint about them and it is a significant one for me, is that the tread underneath is too smooth. If I am working on a wet, sloped, or slippery surface I have to be very careful. I find it very easy to lose my footing in these. If I was just mowing lawns all day, I prefer to wear Bates military style tactical boots, which are lighter and grip better. But for heavier work, these are great! Oh, the counterbalance to the smooth tread is that if you do work in a muddy environment, the mud comes right off of the undersides because the tread is not grooved hardly at all. All in all, VERY well made boots in my opinion. The price dipped sharply one day here on Amazon so I snatched up a new pair!
I've been wearing these for about a month and a half now. I'm an outside technician for a large telecom company. I'm on my feet all day, walking, climbing ladders, squating down, etc. These boots are horribly uncomfortable. The cut off my circulation on the onside of my right foot. I have to occasionally untie them and let the blood flow normally to my foot. Also, these being square toed boots the foot box is large and mobility is poor. If you are just casually walking fine. But if you want to run or jog or change direction quickly forget about having proper control. Also, the memory foam insoles don't go edge to edge so you get cushion in the middle but not on the edge of the insole. Again, if you use these for serious work you're going to feel that lack of cushion.I won't be buying this style of boot again or Ariats work boots again.
I tried several types and brands of work boots, and these are the ones for my feet. I work upwards of 14 hours days during my busy season and these boots are what make that possible. I work ground up construction as a carpenter and these boots handle every surface I've taken them on and usually last me upwards of 2 and a half years, where as I am lucky for a year with most other boots.
