Best work boot I've owned that I literally wear everywhere.
With these you get what you pay for. A comfortable western style work boot that can be worn anywhere. I wear them hunting, four wheeling, horseback riding (small ranch), and while working at the shop.Love 'em. Just make sure you follow the size guidelines; for example: If you think you need wide you probably do. The fit is a bit snug, but they break-in quickly and the end result is a boot that fits perfectly instead of something with no support that flops around until your skin is raw.As with all things proper care will allow them to last. I wear them frequently, so I make sure to keep them clean inside and out (I hate a stinky boot as I'm sure you do too.)Might want to pick up an aftermarket insole to have on hand. The stock one wears evenly and better than most, but it was the first thing to go with constant wear (remember I wear them on & off the job.) This isn't a con because most boots I have to replace the insole before I even wear them.In conclusion they look fantastic, constructed with both exceptional craftsmanship and materials, plus they feel good. Wear them with confidence, they won't let you down.

Great Safety Shoes
Update 04/22/2018:I've had the same pair of boots for about 2 years now. I even bought a second pair just in case, but they have held up flawlessly. The rubber on the bottoms is finally starting to wear in, although I think I can get into the next snow storm around December with the same pair. They held up well in 2 ft of NJ snow this year and my feet were cold, but dry when I unbooted. The only thing that wears out are the insoles, and I usually just swap them out with Dr. Scholl's Working Soles every 6 months or so. If I'm on my feet all day, I kind of want comfort and the $9 or $10 for pads are a no brainer (Cost vs. Comfort). The leather is still in great condition as my jeans cover that part, the outside is roughed up, but the steel hasn't broken through. All in all, totally worth what you pay for these around $200 or under. Kind of want to buy a 3rd pair of Ariats with the boot credit we get to see how the Mestino or Tall boot holds up just because I can. Although these are so comfortable I don't know if I'll give em up. They have been my daily wear unless I'm going somewhere a bit more classy, then I break out other boots.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I love my boots. There are perfect right now in our NJ winter. I work in a Chemical Plant and our end product gets very slippery when wet. I have noticed these to be great when walking on some that falls on our floors. They seem waterproof, but I wouldn't stick my foot in a lake. They do get cold as they aren't fully insulated, but this design wasn't supposed to be. They have an 11" shaft which nicely grabs the calf so they will never fall off, which is important for a safety shoe. They also had a steel toe which I prefer over composite which was nice. Size is also true to fit across Ariat boots as well. I tried a pair of Ariat Heritage, and a few other Ariats at a local saddle shop to make sure of my size before hand and they were pretty accurate. The square toe is a notch wide for my liking, I typically like a round toe, especially when driving my car, but all in all you can't go wrong with these boots. If net year comes around and I'm due for a new pair and work reimburses me, I might opt for an extra pair of round toe if I can find one with the same specs, but I don't see these boots being ready to go for years. They should last a long long time.

**UPDATE** Failed liner Great wear once you get your foot in by
**UPDATE** Three months in and these boots are done. The inner liner has pulled loose and I actually strained a calf muscle trying to remove the boot. I had to get my foot far enough up the upper to pry the liner off my heel. This just blows my mind to have an Ariat boot fail like this. Very dissatisfied. **.This boot fits and wears great. My three stars is due to the extraordinary effort it takes to put them on. It is very difficult to get the heel past the transition of upper nylon to lower leather. I am worried that I will break the pull straps. Once on the feet they are comfortable and wear very well. They are true to size. Ariat just needs to improve the transition area for ease of getting on the feet.

Perfect Brand - Ariat!!!
This is an awesome boot - that is why I continue to wear nothing but Ariat work boots!!! They are very comfortable and even with the steel toe, they don’t add much weight.

Great workboots, didn't like waterproof version as much!
This is my 3rd pair of Ariat Ground breakers but this pair I decided to get the waterproof version so they wouldn't breakdown as much when getting them wet. Waterproof version has a lot more padding or insulation inside, very tight, had to go 1/2 size larger and hard to get on off with out lining coming out. Also I found them to be much warmer than regular ground breaker. So warm that I can only wear them in fall/winter. I will go back to regular Ariats with out the water proofing.
