Great orthotics
I wore these for the first time today - 4.5 miles of walking all in one shot, half the time in a drizzle. They don't feel like sneakers, but these are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. The orthotics inside are wonderful - they are well-cushioned but supportive. The boot also doesn't push into the top of my foot like my cheap rainboots did, which was very painful. The toe box is also an appropriate size for my wide feet. The boots kept my feet dry. The materials are heavy-duty and good quality.Some notes that may be helpful: the boots have a roomy fit. If you have narrow feet, you may want to go down half a size. Also, I noted reviews for this model in a variety of places online negatively commenting that the boots started peeling and becoming cloudy after a short amount of time. I did some research and learned that this is in fact normal for all rubber boots. To prevent this, you're supposed to treat them regularly with conditioner made for rubber boots. I bought a bottle when I ordered the boots, and so far so good. It's not expensive and is applied exactly the same as shoe polish (but clear and no smell).
