Most lightweight yet solidly made comfortable boot you’ll ever own.
These are my second pair in this style, the other styles don’t feel the same ( to me) I love the fit, they are lightweight, durable - they have seen me through rain, sleet ,snow and uneven terrain. They do not require a break in period. They are good to go right out of the box. I wear them just about every day. It’s the kind of shoe you hope they don’t stop manufacturing with the same quality materials and oversight.

I love these boots for horsey things!
This is my second purchase of these boots, unfortunately the first pair was stolen right off my porch while they were drying out. These boots definitely run a tad large, I wear an 8.5 Brooks running shoe and purchased a 7.5 in the Ariat Terrian H2O. They are plenty wide even in the B width and accommodate my high arch nicely as well as being comfortable without an added insert. My first pair held up extremely well, I ride and volunteer two days a week at the riding center and they still looked almost new after 8 months of regular wear. I regularly subjected the first pair to plenty of manure, puddles and mud without having any moisture/leaks, even when stepping in puddles that came up to and over the laces.I would not purchase these specifically for hiking. They are a little on the heavy side and the sole has a minimal tread pattern (I’m sure to limit manure pick up) which gives little traction on rockey or uneven surfaces. They are comfortable enough to wear for an easy day hike or a day full of walking in an arena and comfortable enough to keep on to run errands or go about your day.One tip I’m using for this pair is treating them with leather cream right out of the box. I live in a dry climate and we have issues with leather drying out quickly on tack and gear, so it’s one quick step to help my purchase last longer.

Comfy and great for hiking!
I’m no expert hiker but I wore these during my week long trip to Arizona. 4 national parks, mountain hiking trails in Flagstaff, lava rocks, a lava cave. My feet only started hurting the last day of camping but I think that’s normal for anyone who’s been walking, hiking, climbing over rocks and such for 4 days. Now it’s important to note that when I first got these and tried them on I thought they might be a bit too big. I was wrong, they are perfect. I’m just used to wearing shoes where my toes are snug up at the top of the shoe. These have extra wiggle room at the top for your toes and if you’re hiking down hill, your tootsies won’t slam into the front of the shoe leaving you with sore toes. That was an issue I had with a different pair of “hiking” shoes I had. Just lace them up well, make sure they aren’t falling off or there’s too much gap between the shoe and your ankle. Try them with different thickness of socks. Walk uphill, downhill, see how they feel…and remember.. feet DO swell a bit after walking all day.Honestly I’ve been wearing these just doing yard work outside because they’re so comfy haha. I DID add after market insoles for some extra cushion.. but they were cheap and nothing fancy. So that’s something to consider also.I can’t say much about the waterproof feature because I was in the desert.. not much water there. But they seem pretty solid. All in all, I really like them. I recommend you try them out. I don’t normally spend a bunch of money on shoes but I figure having a good quality pair of hiking shoes is important if you’re outdoorsy. So far these are worth it!!

My Favorite All Time Boots
It took me a long time to find the right pair of boots about 10 years ago, and these were it! This review is for my second pair because I wore out my first pair after much use. When I ordered this second pair, I made sure I ordered the exact same ones that I originally ordered because these are perfect.I had trouble finding any women's boots locally because it seems the type of stores I would expect to find them in cater to men. So I had to order the Ariats on the internet and hope I wouldn't have to send them back. They're keepers.I did find some Justin boots 10 years ago, locally, which I purchased also. I like my Justin boots, but they are not as sturdy or supportive as the Ariats. The Ariats are perfect in all ways. I had two back surgeries so I can't wear footwear that have noticeable heels. These don't, yet they don't feel totally flat either. In other words, they feel supportive and don't strain my back at all.The waterproof feature was important too. If you're thinking of these boots, the extra cost for the waterproof version is well worth it.These boots are comfortable, easy to get on and off, warm, supportive, and very nice looking. I never expect people to notice my boots, but occasionally someone will even compliment them. These are great boots, so if you're looking for a pair that will last long and will satisfy all important features, get these.
