These were so narrow that I couldn’t get it on my foot. I got a size 8 since I’m usually a 7-7.5 and my feet aren’t super wide but it hurt to just attempt to get them in through the opening.

I have two other pairs of Ariat boots and they are wonderful- But for some reason , these boots are extremely narrow. Couldn’t even get my foot all the way into the boot. Sad to say I have to return them.

Great boots for women with narrow feet!

Great boots! I was excited when I read reviews that said these boots run narrow. My feet are narrow - between an A and B width, and as such I have found it near impossible to find Western boots that properly fit women with narrow feet, so I made it my mission to keep reordering until I found the perfect fit.My feet measure 10.125 inches long when standing on a piece of 8x11 paper and drawing a line around my foot with a pen on paper, then measuring the length from longest toe to heel. The width across the ball of the foot is 3.5 inches. I found the size 9.5 a good fit in these boots - although initially, as others have mentioned, I had a little trouble getting the boots on because I have high insteps. I ended up keeping the size 9.5 and put a half sole cushion in the forefoot and thin leather shoe insole liner on top which helped to take up any extra volume. The boots are now super comfy and fit really well!Some folks have reported they cannot get their feet into the boots. As a rule, the trick to putting tight western boots on is to slide one foot into the boot while sitting, then stand. In my case, with the boots I received, the left boot tends to be a bit difficult to put on but when I follow this procedure my foot pops right in. I use a boot jack to remove the boots without any effort.For people who have a concern about calf width, the exterior circumference of the size 9.5 boots measured around the top is 16 inches. Measured from the top of the heel the height is 13 inches.A note about the distressing: in all, I ordered 3 pairs of these boots and noticed that each pair had different amounts of distressing, some significantly more than others. I kept the pair that had the least amount of distressing. I am including a photo of my new boots after I applied 2 coats of Bick4 Leather Conditioner (which I think the leather needed due to the distressing), and 2 coats of Boot Barn's Medium Brown Cream Boot Polish to even out the color somewhat. The boots are now a lot darker and more uniform in color but still look like boots that have been worn awhile, not new, with visible distressing that is more noticeable when viewed in person compared to the photo I have attached. I will call the color Tobacco Brown if that helps. I really love these boots and am so happy to have found them on Amazon! I am enjoying wearing the boots.

sizing seems very off

I love Ariat boots. usually wonderful quality and fit and comfort. but for some reason, not this style! i actually ordered two pairs directly from Ariat: one in a size 8 which was HUGE; one in a 7.5 which was way too small and very uncomfortable...sent those back and ordered another 7.5 from Amazon, and while it fit a little better, still not right. So i am going to give up on that style and go directly to Boot Barn!

Nice flexible and durable boots

Honestly love them so much. I saw a lot of reviews about them being sized small. I’m a true 9.5 and got the 10 but I wished I would have gotten them in the 9.5. They aren’t sized small they are just narrow, so if you have narrow feet get true to size but if your feet are wider I would look into another boot style. They took about 2-3 hours to break in but after that they were super comfortable. I feel like they are very durable considering I’ve been wearing them in a barn the last two weeks. My only complaint is they the leather shaft of the boot is not super structured and it has already started to sag down a bit. Which isn’t the worst thing bc it makes the boot more flexible. 10/10 great boots. The only reason for 4 stars is because of the sagging.

Very narrow tight fit

Loved the color!!! The sizing is way off, very narrow in the foot area, but a larger size would probably create slippage and blisters. I ordered a half size larger than my norm, but that was even too tight, very difficult to get it on.
