5 Years of Good Performance
Updated Feb 2024: This boot has performed well for me until this past season. I did not find the design compatible with the rigors of endurance riding. From a construction quality standpoint, the boot continues to perform well. From a comfort standpoint, it wasn’t suited to those long days out on trail. I found a cheaper brand with a higher shaft that has more ankle support. Overall, these boots still rate very well and I recommend them. June 2023: This summer will be the litmus test of this boot, I have been and will be putting more endurance miles on it this summer than ever before. I had the stitching on the exterior of the toe cap repaired, which was not expensive and well worth it. If these boots are still being manufactured with the quality materials and workmanship as when I bought them, they are still worth the price. Updated July 2022: the stitching continues to loosen, but slowly and there is no true hole in the seam yet, and I continue with long conditioning rides on the trail and endurance rides. I will take the shoe for repairs at the local leather shop when necessary. I replaced the insoles, which probably should have been done a year ago anyway. Considering the amount of wear and abuse I deal out to these boots, I continue to rate the quality as very high and worth the price. Updated July 2021: First signs of wear are starting to show. I wear these a LOT for riding. Just noticed that about 1” of stitching on the sole side of the cap toe seam on the right boot has given way. Considering how much wear I put on these boots, it doesn’t diminish my opinion of the quality of the product because they continue to serve me well with hard wear. Because these boots were expensive, I wanted to make sure they were quality and would last. I reviewed them a few months after buying them, updated my review a year ago, and am updating it again 2 years later. These boots continue to be comfortable and sturdy, showing no signs of wear beyond what would be reasonably expected given the amount of time I spend wearing them. Wow, very impressive boots. Obviously high quality, love the sole and footbed. I purchased these over a month ago with high expectations and the boots have not let me down. They broke in amazingly well, are super comfortable and so far are holding up very well with hard wear, I ride horses 5 days a week and after six weeks these are still perfect. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, supportive, and perfect right out of the box.
Let me start by saying that I have difficult feet to fit and real comfort right out of the box is a rarity. I have a massive bone spur on my left heel, my right foot/ankle/leg has a permanent size difference for multiple reasons. Ugh.My Ariat Nitro Paddock Boots were delivered today and I couldn't be more pleased. :-) They fit both feet like a glove and adjusted easily to the size disparity of my right side. Because of the slight heel, the pressure is off the bone spur, and I can walk without pain for the first time in months. The boot is incredibly supportive, particularly in the shank and heel, with adequate room for my toes. I usually wear a 7.5 wide, so I bought a size 8.10/10 would buy again.

My wife loves this boot.. despite minor flaw
My wife LOVES how Ariat fit her feet. Getting these in a midsize is perfect for her, she is ecstatic. Her all time favorite shoes are an old pair of Ariats, gorgeous short western boots.. we bought two pair because we knew they might not have in years.. and glad we did.For these boots: When Ariat said waterproof they meant it. As happens with paddock boots, we stepped in some excrement, although of the canine variety. It dried, getting it out required a lot of water and scrubbing. Boots stayed dry inside. Down side- some of the grooves on bottom of shoe are pretty narrow, washing crud out was challenging. We ended up having to pick it out with toothpick to eliminate odor and wear indoors.Other issue: The inside has a slight flap of soft leather that tends to fold over when my wife puts these on, just about where the tongue attaches. This creates a pressure line, when she takes them off and removes socks you can see it. BUT.. she loves the fit otherwise, and the look, and refused to send back.

Great Paddock Boots
I had a black pair already. These are so comfortable that I ordered in brown as well. Used them to walk and walk around San Francisco on a recent trip. Highly recommend for stability and comfort.

Ariat not what it used to be
I bought these boots in Dec 2023 it is now May 2024 5 months old, and they have completely fallen apart. I have been riding for over 30years. I am a professional horse trainer and teach lesson as a career. Ariat has always been my go to because they are comfortable and I can stand and teach all day in them. I ride everyday and wear my boots all day. I do not clean stalls in them or bathe horses because that will ruin the stitching. I should add I worked in a tack store for many years as a teenager I’m familiar with wear and tear. Ariat do better you used to make a phenomenal product that could hold up. When I was younger in the barn doing stalls riding 10 horses a day and literally killing my boots they held up for years under the most extreme torture a barn rat kid like me could put them through. Now 5 months and I need new boots. So disappointed

Best boots around
I work on my feet all day at the barn. I just love them. Best fit, size, and comfort. Shorts or long pants, looking good. Fits the part of barn life. Just live them. Want another pair so I have them forever.
