Durable, Somewhat Rigid, Water Resistant Shoes
Design wise, these have a modern and stylish appearance, though they’re bulkier looking than similar looking shoes. The main reason why thicker faux leather material was chosen has a lot to do with durability, water, and oil resistance. Generally, real lighter leather is more breathable, and as a result, when it gets wet, it can become damp and musty. Neither of these things are great to experience at work, which is what makes these so versatile. They look highly professional, while the material is less porous, which means that they don’t trap wet odor scents the way real leather would either. You can simply clean them quickly with soap and water, both of which could damage leather over time.My feet are flat and wide, so these were chosen after getting 2 other pairs of incredibly comfortable shoes from this brand. The first thing I noticed when trying them on was how strong the back lip of the shoes were. While standing up, they literally slipped on without any additional assistance, which was impressive. Once they were on though, despite ordering them in a size 12, they felt far more snug on the sides than expected. The length was definitely true to size, but the width will feel tight if you also have wide flat feet like me. Given the thicker, more rigid material these shoes have, adding additional insoles is difficult. Thankfully, these shoes have a decent amount of padding, which gives them a soft cushiony feeling. For me, since the width feels tight, these get 4 stars. If you wear a size 12, and you don’t have wide feet, they’d most likely be 5 star shoes.
