Should work well as a light weight waterproof hiking boot.

I ordered these for outdoor use rather than as work shoes. I wanted an ankle high, tennis-shoe-like hiking boot that is waterproof and has good traction. These appear to meet those requirements.The first thing to know is that they run small; I usually wear a 10.5 to 11, and these are slightly tight as I ordered an 11.5. Both the shoe and the box are labeled size 46. I like how they look with the rubber toe, back, and side trim. They seem to be of decent quality despite being made of all man-made materials.I wore them all day yesterday while walking around on sidewalks and they were comfortable. They provide good arch support. Today it snowed, so I tested them in about an inch of very wet snow, and my feet stayed dry. However, I am not certain they would stay dry if I stepped in a deep puddle. They provided good grip in the snow with what appears to be true rubber soles. I think they will hold up well for the occasional use I intend. Overall, they seem to be a good value.

Comfortable ankle boots with some serious tread.

I ordered these for my husband for a lower-ankle boot option in our snowy winter weather. Not having to lace up super huge official boots to go out and snow-blow a driveway and sidewalk makes it a tiny bit less miserable. These go on easily and smoothly, and they have some serious slip resistant tread on the bottoms! If it was insanely icy outside, I'd probably still have him slip on a traction band with cleats, but for general snow-covered driveway conditions, these held up great and provided good traction. There's a waterproof material around the toes and heels, although we'll see how the airy material on the top holds up after a wet winter here. He wears between a size 12 to 13 men's boot, and we went with the 13. It fits snugly, so I suggest ordering a size up if you're unsure. He said they're nice and comfortable, provide good stability, and these feel pretty durable. They look fantastic, too, which is just a nice side bonus.

Get what you pay for . . .

For an ankle boot style work shoe, this seems pretty low quality. The price is rather comensurate at least.I ordered these in US size 12. They arrived marked EUR47 - which AI tells me should equate to mens US size 13. Even for 12 they are just a bit short. So be aware the sizing runs small.The mesh uppers have a thin rubber reinforcing/styling overlay that might simulate leather, except it's VERY thin and comes across cheap. The heel/ankle reinforcement seems adequate. Of concern for lifespan, none of the eyelets on the main part of the shoe are reinforced. The thin rubber looks like it will easily tear through. The ankle laces have one reinforced eyelet and one fixed loop. Unfortunately that loop seems to have a hard edge that binds and feels like it will wear the laces pretty rapidly.The soles have good grip, but the cushioning feels uneven. The heels are pretty well cushioned, but the main foot doesn't feel very solid. For a shoe intended for work where you might be standing all day, this doesn't feel like a shoe that would keep my feet comfortable. And for being mesh, it doesn't seem to breath very well at all to me. My feet quickly get hot in them.All in all, this may be a "get what you pay for" deal. As shoes go, this is inexpensive. Though in-person discount shoe stores often have better prices on shoes better than this.

Nice-looking work shoes

These work shoes look really nice, especially given the low-cost. The laces have enough length that you can tie them snug and tight. The fit is pretty good, but not great. They are a bit tight on the sides, which isn't an issue with other work shoes I've worn. The soles are non-slip, which is great for slick floors or working outside in winter. The sole is also nice and thick, so these should last a good long while. The width issue is my only, minor complaint. Otherwise, these are really nice shoes.
