Comfortable, Snug, Durable
I read about this shoe on a review site, first. They said this shoe was great for walking and was very durable. The only downside was some found it to be too narrow. Since I have narrow feet, I decided this was the shoe for me. I’ve bought a couple pairs of Hoka shoes in the past year for $150+ that didn’t even last 8 months. I’m a nurse, so I do a lot of walking. These ASIC shoes have been very comfortable and fit my feet perfectly. They are better than one of the hoka shoes I had, but not quite as comfortable as the other pair. However, that other pair broke down just from normal wear and tear after 7 months. So far, these ASICS seem solid. Very comfortable. The only downside I found was the shoelaces are a bit too long, so I have to double knot them. Good support on the whole. I haven’t had any lasting foot pain, or more than normal. No back pain either. Fairly stiff soles with good flex near the toes. I am very pleased with them.

Awesome Shoes!!
I'm a fitness instructor and am very picky about how my shoes look and feel. These by far, are my favorite shoes to wear for my classes. They are very lightweight and super comfortable. I especially like the comfort and fit. I really like the color and design of these shoes as well. I like them so much, that I even bought an extra pair, for fear that they may eventually be discontinued. I ordered a half size bigger than what I normally wear and they fit perfect. These shoes are lasting longer than any other shoes that I have had in the past. They are also available at a very fair price for the quality that you are getting. Highly recommended!

Seemed decent, didn't keep
Buying shoes online seems like a gamble and with constant changes, you can't even assume the pair you just wore out will still fit the same in the most recent iteration. This was my first pair of ASICS I think I've ever owned and I was replacing an aging pair of Reeboks. Couldn't find the Reeboks anywhere now, so I had to switch brands to find something in the size and color I wanted. The ASICS fit fairly well to what I ordered - 11/4E. They felt a little tight, although I'd suspect they would give after wearing for a while. What I didn't like was the feel in the heel. It was a bit loose compared the rest of the shoe, which threw me. So I was tight in the arch and down and then loose in my step. For the right foot, this is probably a nice pair of shoes. They looked good and appeared to be well crafted. If not for the problem in fit, I would have kept them.

Great shoes and a great prices.
I've been wearing various ASICS running shoes for years. I like them my podiatrist likes them and they are reasonable. I've run my 9th & 10th marathons using them (at ages 65 and age 70).EVERY running shoe, regardless of brand (usually Nike or New Balance) that I've worn as far back as I can remember has been a 10 1/2 while my "street shoes have been 9 1/2."The design of the shoes includes a long "tongue" and a long "lace guard" allowing the "throat" of the shoes to be longer and comfortable accommodate wearing no orthotics sometimes and wearing thin plastic or fiberglass type of orthotics at other times.I suspect that the larger "soft" orthotics that are generally made by standing on foam to create a rubber mold and are physically larger than the firmer smaller orthotics would require a slightly larger size shoe.I wash them in our washing machine in the heavy duty setting and "warm" temperature "hot" can loosen the adhesive holding the front and rear of the soles to the body of the shoe. I spray the really dirty parts with Oxyclean, Shout or other spotting spray and ADD NO OTHER DETERGENT. They dry well with a fan blowing down on the shoes. Stuffing the shoes with newspaper paper which is very absorptive. Magazine paper does not absorb well.

Excellent budget shoe.......
I am a wise shopper on a tight budget. After many heart attacks, I decided to get more exercise on a treadmill. I needed a good shoe, but not spend an arm & a leg. I also wanted a nicely cushioned shoe. I researched on-line, googled all sorts of runner's sites in order to get the best info I could on all the usual suspects...Nike, New Balance, Reebok, Brooks, Saucony & Asics. For quality of shoe, adequate amount of cushion, and comfort, all of which at an affordable price, the Asics Gel-Contend 4 met all of my criteria. It was even mentioned as one of the most comfy running shoes on a runner's site I perused. So I placed the order. I received the shoes, put them on, laced them up, and I took a few steps. I knew at that moment I made a good choice. After 30 minutes on a treadmill, I knew I made a FANTASTIC choice. I am very happy with this Asics Gel-Contend 4 running shoe.

Awesome Shoes!
I have shied away from Asics shoes for a while. They used to be my go-to shoe, however, for some reason, they started running smaller, so naturally I was wary when I ordered these. I got a mens 10 XW because, I have seriously flat wide feet. I think I could have almost gotten a 9.5 but the width is amazing. They are very comfy and while I don't do running, I do cycling at the gym, these are great! They feel comfortable and certainly provide a great wide toe-box. For the price these are AWESOME!

Pretty good, but. . .
These shoe provide adequate cushioning while I exercise and the fit is what I was expecting. I love the availability of increased width for those of us with bigger get. What I am less impressed with is an uncomfortable lump that has developed directly under ball of my foot in my left shoe. It's not so uncomfortable that I can't wear the shoes, but it is noticeable especially when I diary put them on. On days when I work out particularly hard, the toes on that for can start to tingle slightly. Probably not necessarily a good thing. :-\
