I think I found my new favorite athletic shoe. The treads make this a great multi surface shoe to include snow/ice. The sole and entire show provides excellent support. I have been dealing with some foot pain, this is the first shoe I've worn and felt no pain or stress points. Broke them in on a five mile today, felt great. The look great, too!
Without question the most durable and comfortable sneaker I've ever purchased. I walk upwards of 3500 miles annually, through varying terrain, in snow, rain, sun, over mud, stone, dirt and pavement, and these rise to every challenge presented. Cleaning is as easy and bring them back to a nearly new condition. My one recommendation is purchasing an elastic locking lace, rather than the laces included. (Pic)
Best running shoes I’ve ever worn. Super comfortable and supportive. Now the rest is to see how long they last.

The shoes are very comfortable, they seem to breathe well. Terribly ugly, but if you get over that, they’re great shoes.
Despite not having wide widths the toe nod shape is accommodating to wider feet. Although not as cushioned, feel much more planted and stable compared to Trabuco max. Tried Peregrine 15 and was impressed with cushion and flexibility, BUT toe box even in wide width is way too narrow. Wish ASICS had more color options
I rarely leave reviews, so you know this is serious business.The phrase "walking on a cloud” gets thrown around in shoe marketing and reviews far too much, and I generally just glaze over it because of its rampant overuse to the point of meaninglessness. Well, these things are like walking on a cloud, my dudes. Seriously. There are smooshy footbeds and then there are smooshy footbeds – THIS is a smooshy footbed. It might even be the smooshiest. I’m no cobbler, so don’t hold me to that.I wear a size 12 in most brands (exceptions are 12.5 in Adidas and Oboz, 13 in Nikes), but I got a size 13 here and YES. That is the stuff. Far and away my favorite low-top shoes of all time. I wear them *constantly*.And yet they look brand new to this day. What? I am super hard on shoes – I destroy them consistently. These are somehow immune to my carelessness which is weird because they are insanely light. How did they do that?And I’ve tried to ruin them – believe me. I walk in woods and dirt and trails. Once I got a bunch of mud on the toe box and it wiped right off. They should not still look this good. No stains, no loose threads, no delamination or separation anywhere. Rock solid. They mock my attempts to make them not pretty, but in a friendly, endearing way. They do not judge. They just shoe.The arch support is an absolute delight. It’s not just there – you can feel it and appreciate it in real time. They hold your foot like a lover. I know there’s probably gel in there because of the name, but even if I didn’t know about the gel I’d still probably be like “Oh, that’s totally gel.” And I’d be right.You know when you get in bed with socks on, and you keep them on for a while, but eventually your feet get toasty so you grab the sock with your big toe on the opposite foot and slide the sock down and off and your feet feel super amazing in the sheets? And you move ‘em around a bunch because of how nice and cool they feel? That, all the time, in your arches. I am NOT kidding.These shoes alone (well, not alone. together, cuz there’s two) have made me a rabid consumer of Asics footwear. I’ve since starting buying more Asics (these were my first from that brand), and I haven’t been disappointed once. I am extremely into hiking boots, and I can tell you if Asics makes a proper leather mid hiker I am down for a pair on day one. Charge me $300 - fine whatever just get them on my feet.I write this review having just bought a second pair in the exact same color (Atlantis Blue/Pure Aqua) which I will keep in the box in my closet because if anything ever happened to my Trabucos I could not possibly handle it emotionally. They are flawless. Impeccable. They cannot be pecked. You seriously cannot peck them.So yeah, ASICS Men's Gel-Trabuco 13 Running Shoes in Atlantis Blue/Pure Aqua are the real deal and worth every penny whether you’re a shoe guy or not. Take it from someone who bought the same ones twice. I wouldn’t change a thing about them – they are the idealized version of themselves. A perfectly-executed thing in a wildly imperfect world. And there’s not very much of THAT going around, compadre, let me tell you. Take it while you can get it.
