My husbands favorite shoes. Great traction. He works up on the roof and has no issues! Very comfortable
I'm a female nurse, I walk about 5 miles a day on hard hospital floors, then I walk/jog on my park's concrete on my days off.I used to wear Asics before I switched to Brooks about 4+ years ago. Then Brooks pissed me off by completely changing up their Ghost formula on me, so I'm back to Ascics. I forgot how good my feet feel in Ascics. They still mold to my feet. Absorb shocks completely. Side ankle support prevents rolling.Unfortunately, the toe box still runs narrow, I guess that will never change, so I just buy men's shoes in a half size larger than my normal size. Ascics rarely offer a wide option for any of their shoes. I've gone up as much as 1.5 in shoe size just for a larger toe box and I haven't felt any adverse effects from doing it. Now, I do use a VERY tight heel-lock with the shoelaces to prevent rubbing up and down. Asics always did and still do rub up and down on my Achilles no matter how tight I get the laces, with or without the heel lock. The side ankle supports are about 2mm higher than Brooks, noticable but not better or worse, at least for me and I have huge ankle bones from multiple rodeo injuries. They don't rub under my ankles at all. It's just noticable in comparison.CONS:> Narrow toe box> Lightly rubs against your Achilles (which means this back part of the shoe usually breaks down first, then it really starts rubbing and blistering your ankle before any other part of the shoe gets destroyed, and usually before the toe webbing breaks down). Now this could just be for me since I use a very tight heel lock with my laces every single day.> Brooks offers rubber reinforced outer toe/webbing liner, so the rubber reinforcement of the toe webbing of Brooks usually outlast Ascics as running shoes when I'm running trails through woods and muck, but they're also 2-3xs the price of Ascics. I just know I'll be buying Asics more often.PROS:EVERYTHING ELSE!Durability.Longevity.Quality of each part.Shock absorber.Duality as both a walking and running shoe.I could go on, but you get the picture.Ascics formula rocks.
These are not bad at all. Very light and comfy but not as soft soled as the Gel Contend. They hug a wide foot very well. I should be on these quite a bit and will be getting another set soon. Only reason for the 4 start instead of 5 is the sole is a lot harder to walk on than what I am used to. Otherwise they are a great shoe especially for larger feet. I am a 15 XWide
This fit well and was supportive a US 9 is 270 or 42.5. Good value, I wish they lasted longer, I think they’re worn out for running but they still look perfect.
Fantastic shoes. Excellent quality. Comfortable and lightweight.
My husband loves this brand
Overall shoe is comfortable. Price is right. Too generic looking. Bought them because I generally do not use the brand. I say “black vanilla” because it looks generic. Overall ok. Not flashy.
