Haven't had Asics running shoes in several years, but after using these for just three jogs, I remember why I used to only use Asics. Great shoe. Very comfortable. Only con I have is the way it rubs the achilles tendon is a little irritaing. Hope that goes away with time after the shoe gets broken in.
I'd say the fit is true. I wear a US 13 in most running shoe brands--one size up from street shoe size. First run was uncomfortable. I lace my running shoes very tight. In this shoe, this tight lacing caused pain in the top of foot, just under where the laces are finally tied. I walked around in them a bit and gave them a second try. I still pulled the laces tightly from toe to forefoot but used less pressure when tying off. All went well. The shoes provide a good balance of cushion and spring. The shoe is versatile. Light enough for speed runs but also cushioned for longer runs. Low profile, well-made and stylish enough to make me smile. Even at the normal, full price of $99, these are worth having in any runner’s shoe rotation. Also a great option for those only needing one pair of runners.
Give these shoes some time, be patient and use them in the beginning only for slow runs. I made a mistake when I did my first run at official half marathon. When I finished I hated these shoes. But my opinion has changed after 1 month. At the beginning they were very tight. But now after 100 km I have to say that these shoes are among my favorite. They fit perfect, every run as a flight.
The design of the first one I liked much better . The second RH is quit different in design and upper structure but it is very comfy and good quality.
Too narrow,too small
I almost always buy Asics shoes and I usually like them. These were priced well and I figured I would give them a shot. As soon as I put on the right shoe, it had a spot that was pushing a little on the back of my heal. I figured it might break it okay and it has not caused any blisters or anything.... but it is still annoying. It seems my one shoe has a bit of a defect which is just an annoyance more than anything. Otherwise, they are good and maybe my issue is just a fluke.
